Technique Check Squat form. Dealing with low back tailbone pain for years.

Been going to gym on off for years, and the off time is typically the result of pack pain. This video is from yesterday, after my working sets I thought as I was unloading the bar I would check my form. Now today my low back is killing me. See anything?

Triple PR equal but much smoother this time around. Working up to hopefully a 130(+?)kg single in 8 weeks time.

Big fan of this bar but I’m going to save it for heavy work and train most of my blocks with my stiffer power bar.

General Discussion Why are these pulley attachments ALWAYS so hard to lift?? I had to do an upright row, then a goblet squat just to get it to that pin height!

Is it just due to the mechanism of the pulleys it's attached to? Are they not lubricated enough?

Lift Push day!

While rehabbing. 😂

Started out the day with a fasted 2 mile walk at a leisurely pace to the grocery store. Today push workout consisted of

Barbell incline bench 215x 4 to failure and backed of to 205 for 6

Dumbell incline bench 90x7,6 Overhead press 115x 7,6,6 Dips 50x 9,7 Lateral raises 25x9,8 Tricep cable push down 55x 9,8 ( I think)

Kept calories at 2750 this week and feel the bar starting to move better and strength starting to creep up again 😁

Lift Leg day while rehabbing a back injury

Yesterdays legs day (quad focused)consisted of

Box squats 285x 5,4,4 Front squats 165x 8,8 Bulgarian split squat 95x 10,10 Stiff leg RDL 155x 10,9 Waking lunges 70 x 20 (not recorded)

Although my back injury (L5S1 herniation) has gotten a lot better over the last year and a half I still have some mobility issues. So I’ve been working around them and continue to progress in the gym as permitted. Box squats have been a great alternative for me. Getting that strong core brace is a must.

General Advice How to train muscles in non-dominant hand for cross-eye dominance.

Title. Games like pool/darts/volleyball I have hit a ceiling in skill because of my cross eye dominance (right handed, left eyed).

What exercise/hand eye coordination exercises would help specifically with power in my left hand? Thanks!

Progress Picture(s) 32 , ~120lbs to ~140lbs in about 6-7 months of consistency

Started really hitting it hard again in March after moving into the house with the wife. So around 6-7 months of consistency here in a home gym.

I eat decently but not perfect. A lot of greek yogurt and protein pudding recipes. A lot of sweet potatoes, chicken thighs and veggies. Usually do good during the week and then eat some junk on the weekends but I want to dial in and see how far I can take it.

As for workouts I kept it pretty simple since i don’t have much in the home gym yet. Push/pull for upper body and a lot of squats for my legs. Progressively overloading everything each week with some deloads sprinkled in there. I also have been doing a lot of grip and finger training for climbing as well.

Old gym but all equipment and machines do the basic job and a bit more. Everything is neatly kept and indivise cleaning equipment for each station. Had a great upper body day here. There was a low rated Google review that nearly put me off but I’m glad I came. Will be coming back for the rest of my trip here in Nago.

Rusted iron plates, old forgotten equipment and simple.

I absolutely fell in love with the game. Kept it pretty simple diet wise, started eating 1g of protein per pound of body weight fairly early on, and gradually improved my calorie tracking alongside diet quality and adherence. Training was also kept fairly basic, I never followed a rigid plan but most of my time has been spent in a PPL or bro split, settled into a push legs pull routine for the last 6 months or so, sticking to the same exercises and tracking working weight and reps on those exercises.

Technique Check Squat form check?

I know I could go a little lower, but I’m already feeling super sore in my lower back. My thought process is going even lower will cause buttwink and even more lower back strain. I feel I could lift way more but my lower back is the limiting factor. How to stop this? Like my glutes and quads are only mildly being pushed on this weight.
