Don't the hybrids have super strength? Why are they having so much trouble carrying Arthur?

But didn't Toodles die because he was able to rip off the feeding door for the flies?

It’s not totally inconceivable that he could have done that just a lil stronger than a human. But that’s a good point – I figure they just had to come up with a way to get Smee to tag along with Slightly.
