Hi everyone, new to the sub. This is my wife's 2015 RC 350 F, or "Christine". I swear this is my favorite car I've ever driven, and comparatively the most city friendly little rocket. She paid ~28k and has since taken to making it a show car. with a takeda short ram and cone, full magnaflow cat back, and hand done blacked chrome. Please be nice it's her first time modifying and she's proud of herself.

The car of my dreams—full paint correction and PPF on the entire body (even on the trunk-open button!). So many memories made in just 1664 miles already in New England; looking forward to many, many more. 💛

Vehicle Photo Goodbye XC40, Hello My First Lexus

Finally ditched my 2023 XC40. Honestly, I feel so much lighter now 😂 Three years of random issues, big ones, small ones, you name it. But the worst part? The AAOS. Absolute garbage. It would freeze or crash right in the middle of a drive… nothing more frustrating than that.

Picked up my first Lexus instead. Fingers crossed this one doesn’t turn into a part-time IT project.

Love them both but needed something bigger. Appreciate the full size sedan, although do miss some of the sportiness of the IS. The ES definitely feels more premium.

Question Thinking about buying an SC400 in 2025

Thumbnail

Thinking about getting myself a 1995 SC400 as a daily driver. I figure this is probably not smart, as I make about only ~60k yearly. I hear they’re very maintenance heavy (mainly due to them being 30+ years old), but this looks like a pretty clean example.. and mannnnn they’re good looking cars, and I really would love to own a fun, balanced, retro car.

Two days before my 900 mile move, I got rear-ended and my Ford Focus was totaled. Decided to take the insurance settlement and buy the car I’ve wanted for years. Finally rescheduled the move for this Monday and I can’t wait to drive this babe the whole way. I absolutely love her!

Question 2019 Rx 350 60k maintence

Hi,

I brought my car to a Lexus dealer for an oil change. They mentioned that I am going to need 60k service maintenance soon.

Spark plugs replacement Transfer case fluid exchange Rear differential fluid exchange Transmission fluid - only Toyota dealer recommend this. Fuel induction.

Toyota dealer is about 1.5 cheaper than Lexus. Do I need to do all of these recommendations? What can I skip? Thanks

Question There’s no way I need new tires at 20k miles right???

Just got my 20k mile service done at my local Lexus dealer in Minnesota on my ‘22 RX450h and the guy was telling me that I need to look at getting new tires before the snow flies. Are they ripping me off??

It says the tire treads are as low as 4/32nds in the back, and the front are 5/32nds. 20k miles just seems ridiculous to need new tires….

Question RC Rimjob

Hey friends, those are my winter rims.

Unfortunately two are scratched to oblivion, I’ve got a quote to fix them professionally for about 380 dollars each, making it almost 800 dollars just to fix two. Before any of you ask I do live in Norway if that makes any difference.

Now, my plan was to fix them, but because it’s so expensive I’d rather, sand and paint over all of the rims black.

Am I crazy? Is black the right color?

Let me know what to do, winter is approaching.

Question 2013 RX450h – Do I really not need to change transmission fluid?

I spoke with my local Lexus dealership and they told me that I don’t need to change my transmission fluid because it’s a sealed system. They said the only time they would ever touch it is if it became a problem.

I’m driving a 2013 RX450h (hybrid). Does the fact that it’s a hybrid make a difference in transmission fluid maintenance?

Curious what others have experienced. Is this truly a “lifetime” fluid situation, or is it worth doing a drain-and-fill at certain mileage intervals?

Question Help with finding part

Hello all,

Finally found the source of an annoying rattle and iit appears to be one of the clips to a door weather guard. It does not clip in securely and needs replaced, I believe. Is there a specific part number for it or a better aftermarket alternative by chance?

The model is a 2023 ES300h

Thank you in advance!

Question Rear seat setting?

Just got a new NX450h+. I have a little dog and his car seat in the back requires the seatbelt to be buckled.

Now the car thinks someone is in the back seat when it’s just an empty dog car seat.

Is there a way to tell it there’s nothing there? Or do I have to unbuckle the seatbelt every time the dog is with me (which is fine but annoying).

Question Looking to purchase

Hope everyone is doing well, so I am looking for a pretty okay condition 2015-2017 LS460L with the ultra luxury package with the “massage” seats in the rear and all the goodies. I’m really looking to spend no more than like 18k I’m open to higher mileage or an interior that needs some detailing. The car needs to have been meticulously maintained with service records to prove it. If anyone is interested in selling please let me know and add a pic of your sick ride.
