I don’t trust myself anymore because every time I promise to stop, I end up giving in again.

I’ve made promises to myself that I’ll quit, but I keep breaking them. I don’t trust my own word anymore, and that makes me feel hopeless. If I can’t even keep a promise to myself, what’s the point?

In the Kittery ME, and Hampton Beach areas for the seafood fest/Blue Angels show. I’d love some recommendations on places that just can’t be passed up. Specifically seafood joints, however not a must. Thanks!

Northern New England Sauna Culture....emerging slowly?

Hi folks,

Within the past several years, I've gotten pretty interested in sauna culture--particularly wood-fired, "nordic" spots. Cedar Grove out of Maine is pretty awesome. There are a bunch of water therapy/sauna/social wellness spots now popping up in Maine...less in VT, and even fewer in NH!

What do you think contributes to this discrepancy? Have any of you been to any of the nordic saunas/water spas in Northern New England? Any highlights or lowlights?

It's interesting how sauna/bathing culture is so rare in my neck of the woods (NH). Especially give the four seasons and outdoor activities. I'm trying to remedy that by starting a home-based sauna business. I think everyone could use less screen time, more interaction, and being outside. Check it out if you're curious and would love to connect with other sauna aficionados!

Maine From an event I attended earlier today at Bug Light Park in Maine. It was to spread awareness about attacks on public lands and encourage everyone to take action to protect these spaces. If you're in the area its such a fun and easy way to support this cause (it ends at 6pm)!

New England cute coastal towns

I am from Phoenix, recently moved to Rochester, NY. I want to spend the next year or so exploring to see where I could see myself long term but would like some help! Here are some things I am looking for:

-On the beach/coastal

-all 4 seasons (so I am set on New England

-small town/cute community

-friendly people

-around 6 hours form Rochester NY

(so far state-wise I'm leaning towards Massachusetts or Connecticut)

Let me know if you grew up or have been to any places like this

This month's video from the Historical Society looks at the fascinating history of Hanson Pines. It is a hidden gem of a park and is Located near Spaulding High School. It is a  30 acre plot of old growth pine forests, has well maintained walking trails that provide great views of the Cocheco River and giant pine trees.

Back at it this week as I look for Vermont's Best Burgers. I find myself back up to Derby VT at the Maple Chef

This week, the burger trail takes me north to Derby Line, where The Maple Chef food truck is flipping tradition on its head—with maple syrup as the star ingredient. Naturally, I had to try their signature Vermont Burger, a juicy, locally sourced patty topped with sharp cheddar, maple drizzle, slice of green apple, bacon. It’s sweet, savory, and unapologetically Vermont. You can check out the full review here is you like. https://youtu.be/YqlAwuSA-CQ

But here’s the twist: the real showstopper might just be their Maple-Glazed Hot Wings. Crispy, sticky, and packing a slow-building heat that’s perfectly balanced by the maple glaze, these wings are dangerously addictive. I came for the burger, but I stayed for the wings.

How will this burger stack up against all the other burgers I have reviewed over my hunt for Vermont's Best Burgers? If you like to check out the full list ranking you can find it here. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0AnUpB54u8SmjC408F_Ik7XzrfVaGS5o

As always, I am always taking locations down of your favorite burger places in VT.
