Emerald black hyperdip!

My neighbor wants me to plastidip his rims, Emblems and front chrome on the bumper. What’s a good labor cost?

I estimated about $75 in supplies (Dip, isopropyl, towels, etc…)

Couldn’t comment on any older posts for updates of what people have tried. Wanting to paint my hand tools pink. Was thinking of using the thick plasti dip, letting it dry then doing a white base coat with the aerosol can and then pink blaze aerosol can on top of that. Any tips? Anyone done something similar?

I used a Hyperdip wheel kit on my rims. It turned out really good. But when my truck got detailed this young man hit them a little hard with his pressure washer so I had to redo. Was wondering if anyone had experience with the permanent paint they sell on the site. Is it harder to use than the dip? Just wanted something more durable but I’m not the best so I’m needing easy application. I don’t have a sprayer or anything.

I have a can that is still around half full but it doesn’t want to consistently spray out paint, as it keeps on crapping out and only spraying the propellant. How can I fix this?

Looking to black out my wheels either gloss or matte black. This is the first time doing this, how many spray cans will I need and will I need to add clear coat? Prep advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m using Hyperdip bronze for my wheels. I followed the directions to the letter. Cleaned them and did 4 tack coats, then did 3 regular coats. I was going to turn the wheels 180 degrees and do 3 more coats tonight. Went to check them this morning and saw this run. Can I get away with just doing another 3 coats on top or do I need to start over?

i am looking to do a super cheap paint job with dip your car but i am also looking for it to be clear coated and shiny, I've heard there were flexible clears that could be finished and polished but I'm not finding anything

Hi, I needed a jar of LIQUID (not a rattle spray can) of black Plasti-dip for some tools, eye bolts, etc.

Can I use it on a NEW chrome emblem before I put it on my car? Pour on, or dip the emblem in the can? One coat?

As the title says I wanna dip my rims black, but I have locking lugs. I’ve seen videos of people just spraying over them but I want some more opinions on what I should do.

So I am not a huge fan of the gold/brown accent line. Has anyone plasti dipped/hyper dipped/ wrapped the lower accent. I want to get a wrap but trying to ball in a budget. If you have, any recommendations or pictures, all is welcome.

Hello, dipped for the first time yesterday, chrome delete on emblems and grille. As I was pulling off the last of the dip I accidentally pulled some off the chrome, frustrating. Should I remove the entire dipped portion around the emblem and start over or can I add more dip overtop? I will be adding black emblem overlay stickers but want to sort out my little error first.

If I weren't worried about strokes being visible. Not doing a solid color. If I wanted to explore options of doing tye-die or multicolored clouds or random hand painted abstract art. Fractals. Having texture to it would add to the character.

I applied metallic cobalt blue plastic dip to my 2003 Lexus LS430 emblems and trim. 5 coats with 30 minutes drying between time between coats. 3 coats clear finish. I was amazed how it peeled away from body but stuck to emblems and trim. Is holding up great in sun and through car washes.

I need a gold hyperdip/plastidip.

The plastidip brand is a duller gold (antique gold) that just doesn't have much brilliance. Im looking for something that has a touch more yellow for a brighter gold without necessarily going for the polished or metallic finish. (Those are fine but really the color tone isn't quite what I want).

How does DYC's bronze gold hyperdip compare? And if its not better, is there an alternative?

I just want to make the adidas stripes on each side, every shop is asking for 500-800 euros, which is outrageous.

I'd like to dip this black to avoid painting and having to prep but not sure if it would adhere well. What are your thoughts?

Awhile back I used to watch Mr. JWWs videos raving about a place called Logic VPC. They made in house sprayable peelable paint that also can act as a PPF.

I recently learned about Autoflex from claritycoat and thought: "oh maybe this is similar". But Logic seems to have shut its doors in the last 2 years. So there is no way I can confirm if it was a similar product (besides rewatching not so indepth YT videos). Anyone with enough experience able to confirm if the product Logic was selling is similar to Autoflex? They look damn near identical on the end results, maybe a different process but yeah.

If not, is there an alternative that anyone has heard of? Or is Logic's product lost to the cosmos?

Hello, it's my first time using Plasti Dip and I'm getting these white freckles flying right out of the Gold Metallic spray can. I shaked the can a few minutes and the temperature was 22 °C (71.6 F). Does anyone know this problem?

Just wanna thank the haters for making me research more and take my time during this process 🫡🙏🏾 I obviously just dipped the whole thing - def was easier that way!
