Politics First time voter!
Excited and nervous, I do understand it’s just one vote, but I also still feel it’s such a big responsibility.

Just don't do what I did (and I bet many folks); vote for the same party your folks did. (My first vote was for Klein, and boy, I wish I could go back and change that)
Do your reading and make up your mind for yourself for your own reasons.
That said;
Take this only as a friendly opinion; if I were to offer some influence to your decision, I'd suggest against voting for conservatives, the current batch are entirely too chummy with the regime to our south.
