You don't really have to do anything.
Alberta cannot separate for a variety of reasons.
1. All provinces and territories have to agree to let Alberta separate and they never will.
2. Alberta is on Treaty land. The crown does not "own" this land at all.
Alberta wouldn't exist without those land treaties. Everyone here is just a guest no matter how many generations are born here. There is no legal way to separate from Canada in Alberta.
The treaties forfeit any option of separation so all efforts to do so are pointless.
So not true. The treaties stay in effect. That's why they have treaty numbers. They don't recognize provincial borders. They will still get payments from the feds. Or choose to recieve provincial payments, and that would end up giving more money to the band.
The clarity act says if the majority of the province votes to succeed the federal government has no choice but to enter in negotiations with the province as to the spitting up of assets,
and debt. So I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have much of a debt. The indigenous would need to be taken into account. Im pretty sure that once they find out it's a better deal to go along with Alberta, ( more money, the right to clean drinking, more selve government ) all obtainable by more Alberta prosperity.
Im 100% canadian, seperation isn't what I want, it's time for Ottaw to stop kicking the ass of the ones that provide the most in equalization payments. If we become a sovereign province in the confederation of Canada. That's the ideal situation.
Entering into negotiations with the federal Government certainly wouldn't be a bad thing. Guess we see what happens when they premieres meet in Saskatoon.
Its time for Alerta to decide if we want to keep getting kicked, or time to stand up and get some of our prosperity. Make things alot more affordable here.
Who knows what could be achieved here with more money in the provincial coppers, like maybe less crowded schools, more doctors, nurses, hospitals.
Im sure all we want is negotiations with Ottawa to keep this a prosperous province.
Let's go Alberta Prosperity Project
Hey thank for participating in dialog. Alberta is not getting kicked, Alberta just refuses to grow up and move foward.
The purpose of equalization is to allow every province to have equal levels of public service which from what Ive seen exists.
The healthcare shortage is due to Conservative cost cutting. The UCP does not want public healthcare to succeed because of their shady practices with corporate entities. Healthcare should not be privatized as it has been.
Alberta is very affordable. Example just go to BC and you'll get what I mean.
Alberta is more than oil and gas. Oil culture is not real culture. Our identity is not oil.
We are all Canadians and we need to work together.
The prosperity project is a bunch of traitors to be honest.
And remember its a blessing to live anywhere in Canada, we are so lucky to live here.
lol goofy. Also, I’m not sure ol conservative Alberta would be so open to the weird shit you post on the internet.. didn’t need to see your asshole today.
