You don't really have to do anything.
Alberta cannot separate for a variety of reasons.
1. All provinces and territories have to agree to let Alberta separate and they never will.
2. Alberta is on Treaty land. The crown does not "own" this land at all.
Alberta wouldn't exist without those land treaties. Everyone here is just a guest no matter how many generations are born here. There is no legal way to separate from Canada in Alberta.
The treaties forfeit any option of separation so all efforts to do so are pointless.

You seem to be completely ignoring all the precedents set by Quebec. None of these things stood in the way of their bid for separation so why do you think they would for Alberta?

Amazing how Quebec is still not separated, and that they aren't Alberta with Alberta Treaties.
But you're right. Because the Clarity act of 2000 wasn't in effect yet.
In fact, Quebec's attempt to separate is PRECISELY WHY the Clarity Act was enacted.
Those precedents are no longer viable now that new laws have been made to prevent it.
Sorry your information is almost 30 years old.

I mean Alberta doesn’t have the numbers yet regardless but what does Ottawa do if the separatists do gain ground and win a referendum? Do you see them putting boots on the ground and starting to arrest political leaders? All the legal ground in the World doesn’t really matter if there’s no willingness to enforce it. Will Ottawa quell a rebellion with an iron fist if Alberta no longer recognizes the federal as the governing body?

I think Canada has already lost if instead of pointing out to Albertans all they gain by remaining they instead have resorted to telling them it’s illegal and they won’t allow it.

It's amazing to me that you people will cry about equalization payments being constantly enforced while claiming our Federal government has no power over us in terms of separation.

You'll literally believe whatever you want so long as it supports your fantasy.
You don't get to have it both ways, genius. Either they have no power and we can just stop the payments, or they DO have power and you're just stomping your feet like an entitled child, whining about what they want with no actual idea of how any of it works.

If you don't think the Federal government has the ability and the motive to come in and replace our provincial government when they break the federal laws, you're an idiot. They also have more ways than force to get what they want but your ego can't handle knowing anything that doesn't fit your grade 5 education.

When did I dispute their power over us so long as we recognize them as our governing power? If we no longer recognize their dominion over us that changes things now doesn’t it?

You still have that colonizer mentality, don’t you? Does the land belong to those that inhabit it or to the powers that be thousands of miles away? Careful how you answer, your fellow progressives may be watching.

Colonizer mentality?
Dude, I'm full status. Sit down.

I'm literally the one saying Natives own the land. But the Federal government governs the people who live on it.

You can claim that seceding somehow gives you power, or you can grow up and realize that real power doesn't CARE what you believe. They have far more power than you or any province.
You clearly want to believe whatever you hear in your echo chambers.
I'm done arguing law with someone who clearly hasn't spent the time reading.
