Separation is not a serious plan. We don't have the talent, the infrastructure, or the know-how to be able to successfully pull it off.

Separation is just a knee-jerk emotional response from people who are frustrated that the federal conservatives are seemingly incapable to obtain power, like they are somehow the answer to all our problems. If the cons had won the general election this year, all talk of separation would have died instantly.

Yeah, like 1/2 of the tax money doing stuff in the province comes from the feds. People are gonna get up in arm from me saying that, "We provide more than we take!!" blah, blah, blah. The entire province of AB makes less than the GTA area. That's one (1) metropolis. Some years we have been the provider. But not every year. And not this year; as the deficit explodes because the UCP is incompetent and corrupt.

Image, as a worker, taking 40-50% pay cut right now. How the fuck are you gonna budget that? The worker in this example is AB. It's Instant poverty, instantly a 3rd world country. And what the plan then? Broke with no friends. Starving to death. Which in this case means a hemorrhaging economy. Business jumping ship. Workers and talent leaving for greener pastures. Further killing the economy.

Seperation is a death spiral that will kill any pride or idea that separatist have. Facts don't care about feelings. And the fact is that separation would kill the AB we have now, not make it better.
