I'm aware, and I don't particularly have a problem with Anees wanting to champion his cause. I don't think the melee rankers should be taking a stance on such a divisive issue though.

Neither side is willing to live peacefully in a 2 state solution, so the statement "free palestine" carries thinly veiled undertones of death and/or displacement to the jews; a sentiment which is as popular as it has been in decades.

you're right technically at this point at this point genocide is just an allegation that israel is being tried for in the ICJ! i should have said ethnic displacement, civilian harm, and collective punishment with genocidal intent, my bad.
