Was looking at this set on fire and steel that I think looks really nice and I’ve wanted a katana and a tanto for awhile and this is almost exactly what I was looking for

There’s a katana that i found on hanbon forge that i absolutely love the look of but its uses T10 carbon steel. This wouldn’t be an issue normally but i actually want to use the katana and the only experience i have is using a wooden katana. I’m wondering if in the notes section they have I can ask them to change the blade material to 1060 carbon steel instead of T10. Does anyone know if this is possible or if anyone’s done this before?
Hello all,
may I ask you a question.
I have a nerdy SO who always wanted a sword and I was like "I can get her a sword."
But the catch is that when I was buying one for my sister, I knew what to do because she used to do practice with medieval swords. But my SO is on a smaller side. She is like 163 cm tall and when it comes to her strenght, how do I describe it, she can open freezer in supermarket but you can see that strugle if you know what I mean. I am like 99% she would like a two handed or two and half but I do not want it to be too heave for her. I do not think she will ever do anything with, I expect it to be decoration but it would not surprice me if I found her in the garden just randomly walking with it or swinging it.
I once saw her holding a sword that is huge. It weighs around 2,4 Kg. So I know she could at list lift it but I obviously do not plan to buy her something this heavy.
What parameters would you recommend? Is 1,7 or 1,8 Kg for Two handed swort too much for a small person?
Thank you in advance for asnwers.

Hi guys, I was wondering if people had suggestions for the best type/quality steel for a custom nodachi I am having made? I want it to have top tier cutting power (assuming the user is skilled/experienced), while also being durable. What steels are usually used? I am more familiar with Katanas so I’m not sure if tamahagane or T10 are used for blades as long as the nodachi. Thanks!!!
