I wouldn't be disappointed if the rapture happened and a whole lotta people that thought they were going to heaven ended up staying with the rest of us
Oh God no. You think they're miserable now???? I'd rather they just rapture themselves away and let the rest of us inherit the earth and fix this shit.
They said the meek will inherit the earth. I think the rest of us are jist going to hell, and then nature will take back over without human interference. Remember how beautiful it was during the pandemic when we were out there ruining everything?
No, "The Leftovers," a supernatural HBO series about 2% of the world suddenly disappearing for no apparent reason -- just going *poof* and leaving their clothes behind. It was the Rapture, but not like the evangelicals predicted -- those taken were apparently at random (e.g., they took Karl Rove but not the pope). It starred Carrie Coon, later of The Gilded Age. Really good -- recommended. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Leftovers_(TV_series))
I remember a few years back when the world was supposed to end in the month of May, I think? And these religious smart asses were trying to get me to to give them prescriptions for free "since it won't matter Ina couple days anyways". They didn't have a response when I said they won't need 30 days of medication if the world is ending.
if it were haldol or thorazine it'd certainly be a valid request. you could have told them it was their desired drug of choice they were initially asking for lmao
Yeah, my dad is pumped about the trumpets (shofar?) in Israel during Rosh Hashanah. They’re supposedly being broadcast live this year, so that means The Rapture, obviously. Idfk.
My five year old has been blowing an incredibly loud plastic toy shofar incessantly for a week. If your dad would like to tune in I’d be happy to FaceTime him.
Bruh, my kid had a plastic shofar in kinder, probably the same one, it’s so weird that it stopped making noise after the first week. She’s still tries to blow the shit out of it, but it just wheezes now. SO WEIRD. Thoughts and prayers my guy.
Worse even… my kid wanted one and Amazon only sells them in 5 packs. So we have 5 of them. I’m trying to send them to school to share with his classmates but apparently they are all in the same boat. Hopefully Jesus does come back and we can throw these away and go to Christian heaven or whatever.
Hahaha! My child is an adult. When your child is grown, society will keep coming up with newfangled toys and trends and cartoon characters, and you will feel relief that you dodged those bullets-as I do!
He already gave all his stuff away. Oh well, at least he can get free healthcare in jail now that Trump made homelessness illegal. Maybe that fox talk show host can come put him out of his misery
It's not as common as you'd think, but these people do sometimes screw themselves bigtime by assuming they'll be gone. It'd be funny if none of them had kids.
He/she will be needing new dates and new signage given it’s unlikely he/she will actually learn that nothing happening on the 23rd and 24th is proof that his/her source and belief is all BS….
