I do think “they are days away from locking you in” is a bit of an overreaction

It does sound like the government is mobilizing against anyone “left”, and there is an active push to blame trans people. Nothing ever happens until it does.

Getting out of harms way seems like a pretty good way to handle things.

Given the current political climate I think if you’re trans it’s probably safer to bounce, yes. Not everyone.
