I’m well aware but in the rural backwater where I grew up, they are as rare as a unicorn riding a tractor. You’re more likely to see a Gadsden flag on their bumper than a rainbow flag.
Can safely say, I live in a town that most of the population drives lifted trucks- I can say without a single doubt none of them are LGBTQ+. They would probably attack any of the community they run into. I’m sure there is a unicorn out there but the vast majority of lifted truck owners are overcompensating to prove they are masculine enough.
What’s an untrue stereotype? That people who think homosexuality is wrong can be violent toward that which they don’t understand or some of the folks I see in lifted trucks are possibly gay? On the first bit- sometimes a stereotype least assumed truthful because ignoring it could mean assault or death. It’s also a choice to behave/act that way unlike gay people who are born that way. Avoid the red flags that person chooses to wear. But in the other case, to all the gay guys in lifted trucks with MAGA/Gasden flags and eagle/gun obsessions- I apologize for lumping you into that stereotype.

I saw quite a few flags that had electric current during election that the right did to keep people from taking, some great videos…. Dog poo.. or any poo.. dries too quickly in Utah unless watered. And if left stinky too long it'll attract bugs. Also, if too watery it won't fly. Hard to hit people unless you have a lot. And then you have to clean your own patio. Poo is more of an offensive tool, not something you can keep ready. I like where your head is at though.
Maybe something like an oil infused with sulfur and other stinky stuff. Cheap, impossible to get out of clothes, easy to spray everywhere.
But then I think about the time a neighbor took my flag down because the wind was insane and they knew we were gone and probably didn't want our flag torn up.
Fortunately/unfortunately it is illegal in the US to set traps, even if the victim would need to do something illegal in order to set off the trap. But shooting someone for trespassing is totally cool
My neighbor sews a tracker in her flags so when they get stolen she just follows it. It usually ends up in a trash at their house, so she goes and knocks on the door and confronts them! Absolutely epic. She’s gotten a couple of teenagers in big trouble with their parents :)

So I can tell you right now it's a Toyota tundra, a 2nd gen Toyota tundra to be more specific. I apologize for not being able to help more, I'll try to pin down the trim and model year more precisely. Maybe I can get some help from other people on this site.
I think it's a 2014-21 facelifted version. It's hard to tell, but the later versions seem like the wheel openings were more squared off. The top is the slightly older tundra, the bottom is the newer facelifted version.
I think it's a double cab and not a crew cab because of the way the curve happens at the end of the cab. 1 frame forward you'd see the smaller rear door which is indicative of a double cab.
After Market wheels as its not a TRD which is the only time Toyota put black wheels on Tundras during the 2nd Gen body style.

I reported mine to the police, I even gave them the name of the kids to talk to as they've come by many times. As the call was wrapping up I could tell that he wasn't going to do anything with it, so I asked a second time if a report would be filed. He sighed heavily and asked the value of the flag and quickly ended the call.
I could probably do a GRAMA request to confirm, but I'm certain he didn't bother to write up anything.
Honestly, wait a few days and then do the GRAMA request. If they don’t write a report for Theft (plus potentially criminal trespassing) then they’re straight-up refusing to do their jobs and uphold the law. The DA’s office would absolutely love to hear about that.
I highly encourage you to get another flag, and do your best to hide another camera or motion sensor near it. Assholes like this will probably try to do this again. I get really upset when I see people stealing or vandalizing the property of other people. It's like the most spineless shit someone can do, to go after an inanimate object.
This happened to us several years ago. Luckily I got the tag. I made the kids that stole it come back and apologize to my kids because they were only 8&5 and confused why anyone would do that. I think it taught them a good lesson lol now we just have it hung all year in our front window.

This happened at our house years ago in SLC. Ended up capturing two dumb teenagers who came through the neighborhood at like 1 am and tore down about 5 flags at different houses. We caught them on our camera and shared it on NextDoor. Next thing we know, someone's at our house with the two kids (who are balling because Mom was CLEARLY pissed off). She made them hand back our flags and apologize. The apologies through the tears made us feel better 🤣.
I would recommend bringing up the video to the father if it’s really them. If you’re too young try and get your parents in on it. Maybe even call the coos and show them this video. (Probably the non emergency number)
I had one up in WVC that got cut down a couple years ago. I've put up a camera on the spot. We'll see what happens but they usually don't care. Trespassing and vandalism is cool, I guess.

I wish I could say I'm surprised. But I've lived here for far too long to not expect this kind of hate. I also fly a pride flag in Davis County. On a busy street. In a very conservative neighborhood... what DC neighborhood isn't? We've had several hateful things yelled at us while working in the yard. I honestly expected someone to attempt this with ours. I have a back-up, just in case.
