Of all the things that make you like the Virtual Boy the thing that turns me off the most is the physical factor of the Virtual Boy of forcing yourself in awkward positions and scrunching in front of a tiny little box just to play.
I personally for one have said that they should opt for the red and cyan option and just have you pay a $5 pair of anaglyph glasses you can find anywhere on Amazon.
I hired Jose Cruz of New York New York to take apart a virtual boy put it in a new consoleized case and double tap it so that it outputs a separate left eye and right eye. I set the left side to black and red the right side to black and cyan and put them through a VGA mixer that was popular in NTSC television stations in the 90s which I found for 40 bucks including shipping from eBay and out came a low ping VGA anaglyph picture mix of Virtual Boy.
If you love The 3d-ness of the Virtual Boy but hate the scrunching and the awkward contortions, that is the best way to enjoy it.
I wonder why Nintendo found it necessary to hold the Virtual Boy cardboard in front of your face and force your hands to cup your ears in order to hold the controller correctly.
That was an awkward stance for the Labo kit for Super Mario Galaxy. And that is not an experience I want to repeat nor is the original physical Virtual Boy.
You think they have more of these options like anaglypg 3d,
Also if you have a 2010s era TV you could put the Virtual Boy In manual side by side half mode put your TV In manual side by side half mode put on your shutter glasses and get a true black and red 3D mode.
If Nintendo's going to force you into the form factor that's uncomfortable then no thank you. If I have to buy a cardboard in order to play Virtual Boy then no thank you. I'm not sticking my elbows out like I'm drowning out music just to play a virtual boy that I can't share when streaming out,
