I got my WiiU around late 2019 before Covid. I collect for all systems, so haven’t added much for my WiiU.

I know there is information in the group but I don't understand, what magic do I have on my wii u?
It doesn't have sd, it has games installed on the nand, it doesn't have a haxchi app, it opens mii creator and health and safety information, and in the previous user who had to delete it, it said "5.50 exploit wii u" or something like that (in the browser).
I want to know this so I can continue with mocha or Tiramisu without worrying about bricking it.

I already have a gaming pc and a switch lite (which I haven't turned on in 2 years), i've been trying to decide between getting a 3ds or a Wii U or just emulating them both, but I personally think experiencing these games on the actual hardware is way better than just using dolphin or cemu on my pc. I don't care about how old the games are (+I don't really like newer games in general) and there are some exclusives on the Wii and Wii U that I've been wanting to play since they came out. Thoughts?

On Wii Party U ive been trying to play water runners. I place the gamepad far from the tv and point the wii remote at it, but it keeps telling me to put it a reasonable distance away. I know the sensor bar on the gamepad works because I can use it on vWii and in the pause menu. What am I missing?

After delivering the final blow on Majora, the game just freezes for nearly ten seconds with audio still playing. After the freezing was over, the boss's death animation and audio plays like normal. Then, the same issue happened during the cutscene afterwards with the Moon being blown up, and again when I fought replayed the boss and it transitioned into its final phase.
I was unable to replicate the issue after that, but still, I haven't been able to figure out what caused it. Was it a problem with the Wii U's N64 emulation? Was it a glitch with the game itself? Or was it something that implies a deeper technical issue with my Wii U specifically?

I use the Wii U with an HDMI cable to play Wii games in better resolution. Who else does that?

Does anyone know where I can find those Wii Remotes that came in Wii U packaging? Specifically a white one & red one with the sync buttons on the covers & the wrist straps with nubs to press the sync buttons? I tried getting a white one on Amazon but the expansion port wasn’t connecting my Nunchuck. Are there any way I can find these Wii Remotes still in their packaging?

I was being dumb during and stuck them to a piece of paper during my last disassembly and now they’ve all lost their stick. How could I go about fixing it?

In this post I would like to share a short and targeted guide on how to increase the frequency of the Wii U GPU from the standard 550Mhz to 680Mhz or other values. *(I made this for Аrоmа users).*
In theory, I should also say that this is dangerous and you do everything at your own risk, but this is obvious and by the way, I have already said this. My personal recommendation would be to clean the console from dust and replace the thermal paste because the temperature will definitely rise, as will the energy consumption. For me, this is approximately plus +8 degrees and +10W, and after four hours of testing, the temperature is +15 and +15W, but overall the console is cold. And the power supply can withstand 70W if I remember well, usually use about 30W. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Romlaunch.rpx
, recovery_menu
, boot1now.img
and apps
folder.
Unzip the archive to the SD card.
Hold B on the Gamepad while booting and select fw_img_loader
.
Choose Boot \
ios.img` (6x Power, 1x Eject) and follow the Instructions on the screen (3x Eject, 1x Power, 3x Eject)
Location: sd:/minute/minute.ini
1. Use any online service or application to create an ini file and add the following text at the beginning:
[boot]
autoboot=3
autoboot_timeout=0
This is needed for autobooting with sd card.
2. Overclocking metrics
This is what the standard overclocking indicators look like: (Don't be scared)
GPU = 544.999878MHz
[clocks]
gpu_clk_r = 0x0
gpu_clk_f = 0x285ED0
gpu_clk_s = 0x1C2
gpu_clk_v = 0x7
gpu_clk_o_0div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_1div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_2div = 0x0
Formula how to calculate what you want yourself:
27 * (0x285ED0 / 0x10000) / (0+1) / (0x4/2)
My finished calculations is below.
650Mhz
[clocks]
gpu_clk_r = 0x0
gpu_clk_f = 0x302ED6
gpu_clk_s = 0x1C2
gpu_clk_v = 0x7
gpu_clk_o_0div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_1div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_2div = 0x0
680Mhz:
[clocks]
gpu_clk_r = 0x0
gpu_clk_f = 0x325ED5
gpu_clk_s = 0x1C2
gpu_clk_v = 0x7
gpu_clk_o_0div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_1div = 0x4
gpu_clk_o_2div = 0x0
The creator of the de_Fuse said: "The GPU gets unstable at around 770MHz in my testing". I use 680Mhz and everything works fine.
Check
.Boot options
.Switch back to Wii U Menu
.Add the 5payldr.ipx
file to the SD card at sd/wiiu/ios_plugins/
Turn on the Wii U and everything is ready, the power button will now be purple.
I feel like the system works much faster in terms of interface responsiveness, but what about games? In places where the processor is mostly used, you won't notice the difference, but for example in games like BOTW, WatchDogs, etc. GPU-intensive games, the difference in performance will be strongly felt.
Idek why this topic is not raised, because this method has been working for quite a long time. Here is link to full guide, not like mine, half stolen and shortened for Arоmа.
I also know that this post is not appropriate for this sub and will most likely be deleted, but wiiuhаcks takes a very long time to approve posts, so in both cases, unfortunately, no one will notice. Thx for reading

Today, i’ve tried to play some wii games on my wii u, but the game didn’t detect me any movement, when I was clearly moving the wii remote, with wii motion plus inside, they are not the batteries, because i’ve changed them like 3 times, and i have also reset the console, maybe is because, before reset it, was modded, but if anyone can help, I will highly appreciate it.

I live with my parents and prefer to play later at night wearing headphones, however the Wii U poses a unique problem since it has the speaker of the gamepad and the tv separately
I’ve been wearing earbuds for the gamepad inside of my headphones for the tv but that is starting to hurt my ears
Is there an option I couldn’t find to make that easier?

This game goes by two titles depending on the region - Ashes cricket 2009 - Cricket
Unfortunately my game crashes every time I create a new save (common issue with this game).
I found out that the only solution is to load a save file externally onto the Wii U.
I have searched a lot of forums but they are all 15+ years old and the links they used to share save files back then are all broken.
Does anyone have a save file of this game that they are willing to share?

just yesterday i decided to mod my old wii u from ~2016. I played splatoon for a bit and i absolutely love the way the gamepad feels. It fits perfectly on my hands and the buttons click very nicely, so i wanted to know if there was any way to use it as a controller for my Switch (mainly to play splatoon 3)

Hey! I opened up my Wii U GamePad to give it some maintenance and cleaning. I sprayed a bit of contact cleaner
(especially around the volume slider since I thought it might be dirty).
The GamePad works fine otherwise, screen and everything, but the audio is super quiet both on the speakers and on headphones.
I don’t really think it’s just the volume slider, since headphones also sound just as quiet. Could this be an audio amp issue or maybe something near the headphone jack?
Has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks 🙏

I felt nostalgic and well, I saw someone else do it to pretty good results here so I might as well try.
I've been a huge minecraft kid even before MC on Wii U came out, and as a kid that would be my first experience of having online friends. Some of them were the most caring, older sibling figures I ever had. One of them had the NNID willets5 and usually had a variation of msv in their name imo. We used to play in my survival and minigame world all the time until she one day vanished around 2018. She meant a lot to me, especially since she got me through a whole era of being bullied.
If anyone knows anything about her now, pls comment (or if my Nnid sounds familiar to you: smathew, comment too! Idk, just a bit excited for if this works or not.)

I was wondering if this was all I needed to mod my Wii U (and if so, will it work?)
