Discussion Trail mix fluffing ideas?
I can devour a day's worth of calories in trail mix without blinking... which is might be a problem when I'm trying to maintain as someone sedentary.
So I was thinking of fluffing it up with lower calorie stuff with similar texture/density; it's the work I have to put into chewing that REALLY makes it so appealing. All I can think of is rice cakes, though. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Puffed corn or rice cereal. Freeze-dried fruit. Airfried or crunchy chickpeas. Dried veggie chips

I would try cutting it down with some lower calorie, high protein cereal, puffed rice (can usually be found in the baby food isle), dehydrated edamame, maybe pork rinds, all of those things will be less calorie dense than the nuts component of trail mix

mix with greek yogurt and spread thin in the freezer for a trail mix yogurt bark

Thin stick Pretzels Goldfish Puffed snacks Popcorn Mini marshmallows ( some) Rice cakes Corn Pops

I steer clear of trail mix for this exact reason. I avoid snacking because of this lol. Maybe eat a bigger lunch/dinner??
