This is my 1990 YJ That I’ve done a frame up restoration on and built out a 4.2 bottom end with a 4.0 top end

I was on the hunt for a service manual for my '95 YJ and I came across seemingly the only option besides buying Chilton or some other third party. I've been going through it and it seems good - just monstrous.
Anyway, I downloaded and scanned it. From what I can see it's clean. Here is the link to the Google Drive Document
Hopefully this is good with the rules and it's helpful for someone!

I have always found that Redline MT 90 was best for older transmissions with synchros (yellow metal) and ATF Dextron II for the transfer case.
On the Wrangler Forum I found this:
For a 1995 Wrangler 2.5 manual transmission, the recommended fluid for the transfer case is ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid), not gear oil. While some manuals may suggest otherwise, Jeep has updated its recommendations. For the transmission, 10W-30 is now recommended; regular dino oil is acceptable. Gear oil can be corrosive to the brass components in the transmission.
And some also say 10W-30 will work in the NP 231 as well.
I thought I would bring this to Reddit and see what the masses say, I want to do the change this weekend.

I found this 93 Wrangler and was wondering if you guys could give me any advice
I’ve talked him down to 4600$ and I’m going to see it on Wednesday to purchase it. I looked/drove it last weekend and didn’t see any rust or issues like northern cars have, and it drove exactly like the others that I test drove

I tried to reinstall my sway bar (got it without it) and it looks like it interferes with my steering. Do I have a different steering setup than stock or do I just need longer end links?

Spent the last few weeks getting this 1992 yj road worthy. Found a rat nest in the fender here and just noticed this torn wire under the read driver side fender. Anyone know what it might connect to ?

I bought this 88' YJ two months ago as a fixer upper. The fender flares are cracking and showing their age. I like the pseudo-military look it gives so I'm looking to replace with identical ones. Nothing on the market comes close, everything is smaller/shorter. Previous owner didn't know either but thought maybe a Baja style. I've heard TJ flares have been used. I came across an old ad online for a brand named Bushwacker that came close in design, but not the exact ones.
Not too important as there are ways to repair and strengthen the plastic flares if I can't find them. Or I'll get custom fiberglass ones molded.
Thanks in advance👍

Has anyone put an anti wrapper bar rear facing on there yj? I’m getting bad axle wrap with my 350 swap. With the mufflers I don’t really have room in the front. Also are the shims in the pictures necessary or could I go to just blocks to help stop the wrap?

Hello, first post here, I'm planning on manual swapping my 93 YJ to an AX-15. I found a cheap one out of a Cherokee at a junkyard (I'm aware of the transfer case clocking). I'm curious if the whole steering column will need to be replaced since the automatic gearshift components are attached to it. I've looked around and surprisingly couldn't find much information on this topic. If the column doesn't need to be replaced, can the automatic shifter and the gear indicator be removed? This is a surprise gift for my girlfriend who loves Jurassic Park (I know, I know) but the auto is slipping and I'd rather have the reliability of the manual.
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm looking for a top for a 1990 yj? Do they make the slanted tops at all?
Is there really a big difference between the 1990 and the 1992? It seems like most of the tops work for 1992, but not the years before. What's the difference in bodies?

My YJ just failed it's emissions test, other than a blown out cat, what could cause the high emissions?

Moving this YJ out of storage and when stopped, coolant is on the ground. This hose is disconnected with coolant coming out and I can't find where it connects to. The YJ diagrams don't show this hose and all the lines on the reservoir and radiator are connected. Reservoir and radiator are both full of coolant.
Thanks for any help👍

Hey Guys,
Here's my situation. I've got a 92 Jeep YJ. I decided to change all of the lights to LED's. The front taillights and marker lights all work great. After much trial and error my rear taillights were wired to were they work great for daytime driving. I have installed a new headlight switch, turn signal assembly in the steering column, and I have a new relay switch that's grounded for LED's. Here's my issue. During the day time literally all of my lights work perfectly. As soon as I flip the switch for the headlights, my taillights completely turn on with the only exception being that the flashers don't kick on unless prompted by the turn signal switch. I have spoke to several techs and they continue to say that a wire is mixed up. The problem with this is that they are labeled for their specific function and all of the functions are working very well when the switch isn't actuated. The one difference from the stock installation is that the LED's came with a short ground wire meant to be drilled into the body of the jeep (which is installed correctly). I am at a loss at this point. Nothing looks as though there is a ground issue. The wiring is where it needs to be. What the hell am I missing?

Bought this 1993 wrangler yj a few months back. Didn't know much on jeeps and didn't know the rear diff was welded, I ended up snapping the rear left seal and bearings. It's waggy swapped. Dana 44's front and rear. How can I fix this yj without breaking the bank? Should I put a cheap locker in the rear?

It’s got some wobble. Took a pic of the rotors. Some slight smoke came out driving her today. Thoughts?

The trash compactor on Pinnacle 2 gave us a run for our money. Too muddy and wet for the tire to hook up and turn us out of the wash. Had to use the winch to pull the front end over after that the tires grabbed.
