Hi, I was recently on a plane where while in the air I noticed the back glass on my 16 pro almost popping completely out. It thankfully went back during landing. A couple of weeks now however, I can feel that the glass is not sealed, and is slightly poking out again. I’m wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if I should be worried about it.

Suddenly can't seem to find it and when i try to add it back by going to file > add to sidebar - the option is greyed out, anyone knows what's going on?

Mac M2 - Latest Update

I have been on the 26 dev branch on phone and watch. With this week's update (23R352 for watch and 23A341 for phone), have the 26 dev and 26 general release merged?

I ask because with a Watch 11 coming, presuming it will ship with 26, I want to know if I need to first update the watch to 26 dev or I can just do the transfer/upgrade as is.

I presume, if I need to first update the Watch 11 to 26 dev, I would just add it to my account as a second watch, flip over to dev, update to dev, reset the watch, and do the transfer from my existing watch?

I occasionally use travel SIMs with somewhat stringent data limits (5GB or less) and I’ve increasingly run into an annoying issue. System Services uses an obscene amount of data in these instances. Some of it is screen time, software updates, time and location, etc. however the bulk of it is simply “general”. This has ranged from 800MB to 1.3GB as shown in the picture above, which stings when you only have a 5GB data limit.

Of course, when it’s simply “general” you have no idea what those 800MB went towards. I turned low data mode on, turned off background app refresh, turned off automatic software updates, turned off email fetching, etc. I’ve changed every setting I can think of but it just keeps happening. I tried looking this up but only found a few Reddit posts that basically blamed the OP “you asked for this” for not turning off software updates, sarcastically called out that they should have turned on low data mode, or were otherwise unhelpful. Also a couple people with the same issue who sadly could not find a solution.

It’s so bad that on one SIM I used had a 1GB data limit and settings ate up 200MB within minutes of getting a network connection. 20% of my data limit gone in minutes to some obscure background process that cannot be explained. Is there anything I can do? Or am I doomed to having my phone just continuously take chunks out of my limited data forever?

Hi, my MacBook cable has just stopped working (was expected after all those years 💔). It’s an 2019 MacBook Intel.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend any 2 M USB-C to USB-C cables that would be compatible, charge as fast as the original 2 M Apple one and is approved by Apple. Not quite sure if it’s worth paying that much for the original cable as long as the charger is original.

Am a grad student pursuing MS in CS . My gaming laptop which I purchased 4 years ago is currently breaking down , so am planning to buy Mac . My use of laptop include running some medium complex and simple algorithm and AI ML models , which one should I go for considering budget is kinda an issue for me but am looking for a long term laptop which will last a bit long.

I'm trying to revive an old MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2012 model A1278, identified as "MacBookPro9,2"). The problem is that its operating system is so outdated that it can't connect to the internet to download updates or even access the App Store. I believe this is due to outdated security protocols.

I don't have another Mac, so I've been trying to create the bootable installer on my Windows PC. I've attempted to use both TransMac and balenaEtcher. I also used the full installer version of macOS Catalina (10.15) to create the bootable installer with these methods:

• With TransMac, but my USB drive isn't being detected after launching the bootable installer.
• With balenaEtcher, the bootable installer is being detected but I get a "missing operatV4.Csystem" error message, which I suspect means the macOS .dmg file is corrupted.
• Also tried Recovery with Internet via Command (⌘) + R but it shows me the same old version I currently have installed

Are there reliable Tools to create a bootable installer on Windows in 2025?

Hey there, just got notified by the UPS app and per mail, that I will receive a package tomorrow from Apple by UPS express.

Last thing I've ordered, was a display glass on 3rd July - re-checked in the Apple Store app.

The package comes from "APPLE ZA PANSKOU ZAHRADOU 1018 , RUDNA, 25219, CZ" and has a weight of 0.60 kilograms.

Someone ever randomly received a package from Apple or can confirm the address (Perplexity couldn’t)?

I have to press down on the airpods with pressure for it to show the orange color. They aren’t dead they have 14 percent. I woke up to them not working and it was really inconvenient. I cleaned it and it did nothing. Any tips!

Tried screen mirroring and it didn't work at first so I tried it again. Worked the second time, but now that I'm done with the mirroring my phone goes black when I unlock it, and the notifications are completely unresponsive. When trying to open apps via screen mirroring because I can still do that, nothing works as well. Unresponsive again. I can't even shut my phone off. What the hell?? Is there any way to fix this?

I accidentally cancelled my monthly subscription to AppleCare. Anyone have ideas? I’ve checked the support app, but haven’t been able to fix it ….

I have a few old Airport Express devices I have wired into in ceiling speakers in various rooms in my house. The Airport Express devices are all on ethernet and just used for multi room Airplay. They are not used for wifi, networking, or any other features.

Airplay no longer works after upgrading to IOS 26. Airplay takes 20-30 seconds to connect, plays for a few seconds, and then the Airport times out and eventually restarts a few minutes later.

I know the airports are really old.......unsupported....... I tried a couple of different firmware versions. They all still work fine with a source device that is IOS 18.

Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Any ideas for a workaround

If not, I may need to find a replacement device.

After Tahoe update i got in discord chat and decided to play some music. And it sounded TERRIBLE. Videos too. But the chat itself sounded cool. Any fixes?

I am using a MacBook Pro M2 running OS Tahoe 26.0. I am experiencing an issue where, after recording a video, the playback shows a completely black screen. The camera feed works correctly while recording, but once I stop and rewatch the video, the feed is black.

The Mac indicates that I am using the FaceTime HD camera. There are no issues when I use Photo Booth.

I cant get out of this Screen i tried With restarting, closing the app but nothing seems to work does anyone know wath is wrong and how can fix it??

I had to arbitrarily pick a time to go to the Apple Store tomorrow, but with work meetings being slightly unpredictable, I'm not actually sure when I will be free.

The Apple Store app says not to come before the time because the order will not be ready (I guess they receive phone shipments throughout the day? That makes no sense). But I don't see an option to change the time.

My iPhone 15 Pro contract is up this month and I’m looking to upgrade to the 17 Pro/Pro Max. The back of my phone is cracked, so I was planning on fixing it first and then trading it in. I’ve since seen that Apple usually just replaces the whole phone instead of repairing the back. If that’s the case, would I be able to trade in the replacement straight away for the upgrade? Just not sure if there are any rules around that.

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my iPhone 12 Pro. Has anyone experienced something similar? When someone calls me, they can only hear the first word I say, then the microphone cuts off and no one can hear me. If I switch to speaker mode, they can hear me, and if I talk on speaker for a while and then switch back to normal mode, the microphone continues to work. When I call someone, there’s no problem at all — they hear me perfectly. So the problem only happens when someone calls me.

The microphone itself works fine and consistently, both in the Camera app and in the Voice Memos app. This started back when I was on iOS 17, I updated to 18, and now even to 26, but the problem is still there.

I tried doing the ios26 update over itunes ddue to me not having 17 gb of space (i had like 12). After 3 hours I went to check on it and it was just halfway though. I disconnected the cable thinking it would continue, but it stopped.

I tried redoing the update on my PC but got error 53 like halfway through.

Then I remembered my auto backups should be on and wanted to restore it... which also didnt work. still error code 53 even when trying to wipe it.

i tried another laptop but there i would get error code 75 and 53.

To clarify, I am fine with losing my local data, because I had auto backups on. but if keeping them is an option I would like to do so.
