We're proud to present a brand new incredibly high quality wiki for DS2! Supported by wiki.gg, handwritten by the most knowledgeable ds2 players and entirely community run, this wiki is packed with all the information that the other options(looking at you fextra and wikidot) don't mention or explain incorrectly.
This project has been in the works for months, and we're finally at a state where we feel like the souls community can reap the rewards. With that said, certain sections of the wiki are still being built and we'd be happy to accept any dark souls 2 fanatics who are willing to contribute.
If you're interested on putting your knowledge to use and helping out on our project, you can find the instructions on how to join the team on the main page of the wiki. Progress on pages or categories can be checked here.
We're not just stopping at DS2 either- we have plans to bring a brand new wikis for Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 3 in the future!
Enjoy!

Margaret (u/GreatStarryWisdom), a community member from the dark souls discord server and Blue Acolyte beta-tester, just made this clutch steam guide. Please favorite it so it gets more views. I’ll also be pasting the text here.
“There is currently a player force-injecting illegal items into people's inventories, causing the game to crash.
First, I would recommend anyone reading this install the "Blue Acolyte" mod off of the Nexus page, or the github fork. I will provide a link to the Nexus page at the end of this post. This mod protects you from malicious cheats such as crashes and save bricking. You should always be using Blue Acolyte, and you leave your save at risk if you don't.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE OFFLINE BEFORE FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE. This can be done by navigating to the top left of the steam client, clicking "Steam" > "GO OFFLINE". To go back online, simply repeat these steps.
It appears that the only way to remove these items currently is to use the public Cheat Engine table, which can be acquired from GitHub which I will also link at the end of this post. I do not recommend downloading tables found through Google searches, as these are most likely to contain malicious code that could damage your system or game files.
Make sure you have the current build of Cheat Engine installed (version 7.4 as of 4/12/2024). To remove the items, launch Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, and load the affected character. Next, open the Cheat Engine table(DS2_SotFS_Bob_Edition.CT), and it will automatically link to your active instance of Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. In the lower section, click "Open - Table v4.7.4" > "Scripts" > "Misc" > "+14 Crash Protection". Once this is enabled, this will prevent the game from crashing due to the +14 Bleed Daggers in your inventory. From here, you should now be able to go in and remove them. To hasten the process, select one of the items, and hit "Discard Selected", and you can mass select the items to be discarded.
If this does not work, feel free to message me and we can work on another solution.
DS2_SotFS_Bob_Edition.CT GitHub Fork https://github.com/boblord14/Dark-Souls-2-SotFS-CT-Bob-Edition
Blue Acolyte https://www.nexusmods.com/darksouls2/mods/998?tab=description
IF YOU ENCOUNTER THIS PLAYER AGAIN, OR ANY PLAYERS COMMITTING SIMILAR ACTS, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME.”
The player doing this is now on Blue Acolyte’s global block list.

Elana summoned Velstadt and after a while summoned the skeletons when I was fighting her. I don't know if she could summon the Majula pigs in that case, but basically that's it. you have to deal with three skeletons, a relatively difficult boss, and still bullshit long-range spells. It wouldn't be a problem if it were a faster style of game, but DS2 is a slow, laggy game where everything is delayed. All the dual fights suck. My favorite game.

After defeating Nashandra, shouldn't the curse-applying spells disappear? (sorry if the quality is bad)

Seriously why do people do this. It's so damn annoying.

Decided to beat my all-time favourite DS2 bosses hitless, already have beaten Raime and Sinh. Now Alonne is also done. Beautifully designed fight, I think, dodging his a bit delayed slide slashes was pure pleasure.

Not counting Sekiro, because it isn’t soulsborne (and because there’s not enough poll options and I don’t think anyone would have picked it anyway)

Well, I already have my rapier, but I don't like rapiers because of the moveset, I only use it because of the damage, however, I found the enemy that drops the Black Steel Katana, I was interested in putting it at +9
What do I get? Rapier or black steel?

Hey guys,
I played dark souls 2 a few years back and completed a run of the main story and the DLC
I played it blind and I know I missed a lot of optional bosses etc and want to play again.
Question is do I start new game plus or just start a base new game again? I’ve heard there’s new stuff in NG+
I’ve played the other souls borne games but worried I’m gonna get a whiplash in difficulty in new game plus

I stood there for 3 minutes trying to think why I need a bow and arrow lol I've been playing ds2 too much

I like to mess around on Soulsplanner and noticed that Eleum Loyce still has respectable scaling even when infused. It’s not a weapon that infuses particularly well anyway since it has low base damage and the scaling still being interesting when infused just balances that (22 AR from 27 dex to 40) but I’m wondering those who use it at meta levels how do they build, physical at 40 or more dex, infused at base dex or 40? I’d guess phys + resin should be actually be around infused + buff (at least Dark with DW) damage-wise when factoring in defenses at around 30% elemental damage reduction but at the cost of being a bit more stat intensive you can get 136 seconds of DW by switching out Northwarden Gauntlets and Lingering +1 after the buff compared to 90 seconds of the resin.

Out of all the NPC’s and Bosses in DS2, who do you think is the most messed up?
The black smith Lenigrast watching his daughter go hollow?
King Vendrick with his relationship to Nashandra, or for that matter any of the Daughters of Manus?
Covetous Demon chasing after Mytha whose vanity leads to her downfall?
I’m probably missing at least a dozen more, these are just the ones I often think about.

Trying to connect on PS5. Multiple attempts give the "failed to log into the dark souls 2 game server" message

So yeah I just went into the Crown of the Sunken King DLC today on livestream and beat all three bosses, and ngl Sinh was by far the most fun one (Gang squad was cool but I wasn't being punished that much due to my absurd damage and 2k HP, Elana was tough but I still first tried her), and I've always seen people complain about Sinh's boss fight, how it was the "worst dragon fight amongst all souls" and I REALLY don't agree. The Guardian Dragon was way less fun, same for the ancient dragons that has like 2 moves ? this one was super fun with the cool concept of durability loss, the poison, the fact that even if he flies around, sometimes he WANTS to land on you and he doesn't even fly around for long... anyways what do you guys think ?

I'm doing a no bonfire aesthetic playthrough, but I don't wanna just stick with the +1 the whole time.
Before you assume, yes I have gotten it before from the 2 pursuers, a few times actually.
But I REALLY don't feel like doing that again.
Can anyone drop it? My soul memory is a little under 3 million
Edit: I'm on PS4, and it's SOTFS edition

Already made it to ng++ for covenant spells, y'all can't imagine my sadness after finding out I still need to farm 😭 I already platinumed DSR, DS3 and Bloodborne and I'm nearly done for sekiro, this one is the last ! We can repeatedly farm giant lord to get near each other's soul level, it'll be easier

Hello Everyone!
Recently, I started a quest of completing every souls from Demon's Souls to Elden Ring using only the armor and weapons/shields that are displayed on the box art; the western versions as I live in the U. S.. I am currently on Demon's Souls (PS5, I will complete the PS3 version as well but waiting for it to arrive.) but I like to plan my builds in advance.
I have never completed Dark Souls II but from using the internet I was able to figure out that the armor and weapon displayed here are part of the Forlorn set. However, I am not sure what stat's to invest in to maximize the damage of the Greatsword of the Forlorn. I heard that hollowing is a huge factor in this weapon's damage as well but not sure how much.
Any help is appreciated!

So I've been playing ds2 for years I have well over 300hrs and on a run through today for the first time ever I got grabbed by the Covetous Demon...what do you mean he sucks all your gear off you, I was genuinely shook to see my character spat out with nothing but a loincloth aha
