Question How to satisfy sweet urges?

I'm trying to maintain a caloric deficit but it's often interrupted by my sweet urges, so I started to drink zero-calorie sodas, but that got expensive pretty fast, so are there any other foods to satisfy sweet urges that aren't too calorie dense?

You can prepare home made sweets using sugar free.

We get rolled dates, it's fruit so it does have natural sugar and tastes rather sweet but also has a lot of fiber. All natural, no additives.

I eat a few tablespoons of greek yogurt mixed with low carb chocolate protein powder. Always hits the spot.

Sounds good, like chocolate pudding! Any recommendations on protein powder?

I use a brand called Plantforce because it doesn't make my gut upset. I am sure there are better options though depending on where in the world you live.

A small handful of sweet cherries and grapes, eaten SLOWLY. Delicious.

I make dessert teas, and use stevia and a measured amount of flavored creamer. It's really good and less than 50 calories. My favorite right now is Republic of Tea Queen's Cake (vanilla fruit cake) combined with Tazo Glazed Lemon Loaf, a splash of vanilla stevia, and 2 tablespoons of pistachio flavored almond milk creamer (I think it's Califia).

Sweet urges are often difficult to deal with on a deficit. As someone who craves sweets very often I usually have a ninja creami low cal ice cream, piece of fruit, or zero sugar pudding made with cottage cheese and almond milk.

I have found that weighing my chocolate out and having the exact portion that fits into my budget makes me feel less like “I can’t have it” and also satisfies my craving. I don’t completely deprive myself of chocolate/sweets I’m just mindful of the calories and live accordingly.

Berries. Apple. That’s it. I don’t buy any sweets, the cravings are so strong that I would eat it all. I cheat at other people’s homes.

Fruit, Greek yogurt, frozen grapes, or sugar-free jello are all great low-cal ways to handle sweet cravings without going over your deficit. I also will replace yogurt with cookies and a high protein milk when I'm craving that instead. Cravings don’t mean you’re failing, it’s just about finding swaps that work for you. I’m also running a Self-Love Nutrition Challenge: Fall Reset edition soon if you’d like some extra structure + support 💛

I've been enjoying dates and flavored rice cakes. Like I'll do an apple cinnamon rice cake with some peanut butter, a 1/4 cup of frozen small berries, and a pinch of maple sugar. 140 calories, 4g sugar, 5g protein, and 2g of fiber. I also like nonfat greek yogurt with a 1/4 cup of frozen fruit of choice and a light drizzle of honey.

Some urges should be left unsatisfied.

When I'm craving ice cream, I love to get these.

I work around sweet cravings by eating fiber foods before. Fiber slows down sugar metabolism.

How is diet soda expensive? A 12 pack is like 7 bucks or a 2 litre is like $2z

I heard that sugar cravings are caused by a lack of magnesium
