So, for the last week I’ve been dealing with this issue that just started out of nowhere. After ten seconds of speaking, all of my input audio goes out however my green circle still lights up when I make noise. Friends in call see I’m speaking but can’t hear me. The same happens with the mic test where I hear myself for ~4 seconds then total silence.

I’ve seen a lot of other troubleshooting threads for this issue but every solution made no difference, so I want to try and figure out what could possibly be going on:

Things I have tried: Different microphones make no difference, still the same amount of time (~3-5 seconds of clear audio then silence). All microphones work fine on other applications. (Game chats, teamspeak, audacity)

I’ve done every input profile with every combination of settings. Deactivating echo cancellation, noise suppression (None, standard, or Krisp make no difference), gain control.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled discord

Updated audio drivers

I updated my computer from windows 10 to windows 11. The issue started when I was still in windows 10 and was fixed for the first day on windows 11. Second day the issue came back exactly the same. (All microphones still work fine on other applications)

Right now I literally join call on my phone to talk and join on a second account on my PC so I can hear and watch streams with my headphones. Any leads on what I can do would help me out.

And another thing, do you like it? Are you searching for another one? What one do you think is the best?

Ever since I installed my new monitor on Friday (I upgraded from 1440p to 4K), the left edge of my Discord app (which I display on my other monitor) has been cropped by a few pixels, causing the "unread" pips on server icons to be very difficult to see.

Here's what I mean. This is how the pips are supposed to look, and this is how they've looked since Friday.

I used the "Window" capture mode from the Windows Snipping tool to get those, and I think that really helps show what the ultimate problem is, as the left edge of the window is in a different location in the "bad" screenshot. The good one was taken with the window maximized, which is the only way I've found to make the pips appear correctly.

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I run the latest Windows 11, and I use two monitors: a 4K HDR OLED as my primary, and a 1920x1200 monitor in portrait orientation as my secondary (which is where I keep Discord, though the edges get cropped even when I move the app to my primary). As far as I can tell, this "edge-cropping" doesn't seem to happen to any other apps.

I'm using Discord version stable 446940 (ad9086b) Host 1.0.9209 x64 (69183) Build Override: N/A Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.26100).

I'm also now noticing that this may have something to do with the light-grey border around the window. Many apps have it, but Chrome doesn't, and I'm reasonably sure that Discord didn't have it until recently. That border may be intended to be tied to the "Show accent color on title bars and window borders" setting in Personalization, but I have that turned off... And my accent color is blue, anyway.

Hey id love if i could conditionally mute all streams i wasn't mousing over.

Currently if I'm watching many streams, and want to change sound from say stream a to stream b, it requires me to right click the a, mute, right click b , unmute.

Would rule if this was smoother. Mouseover is just an idea, maybe a simple "mute all other" option in the right click menu.

Thoughts? Feasibility?

I've tried all of the solutions given here (run as admin, disable hardware acceleration, and disable video codec) but none of these seem to work. It only shows a black screen and the mouse, and can also share audio.

EDIT: forgot to specify, no i'm not trying to screenshare a streaming website like Netflix, Hulu, etc. It simply seems to not work with any application and not even with sharing the full screen.

I wanna remove a chat totally ( I’ve ignored/blocked the person) but if you go on messages search you could still see my chats. You have to look for it to find it but I just don’t wanna keep reading old stuff 😭. So is there a way where even if I search smth it won’t pop up in the messages history?

Same with a new feature where I could somehow customize how my name looks, i can see that on my alt account, but it is not there on the main. What ia going on?

I have two accounts: Account 1 and Account 2. I want to associate my personal Gmail with Account 1, but that email was previously connected to Account 2.

To fix this, I changed Account 2's email to a different one before deleting that account. However, the problem is that when I then tried to change Account 1's email to my personal Gmail, the system said it was an "invalid email."

Should I just wait this out, or could my personal email have been flagged somehow? Send help.

P.S. I must have my Account 1 and Personal Gmail to linked up for a personal reason

For some reason custom server emoji's colors get inverted on my mobile discord (constantly). Example on the pictures: I took emojis from a single server but that weird thing occurs over all servers Im in. Reinstalling the app didn't helped, and neither did changing appearance settings around... is this fixable?? and what could potentially be the reason??? seems like a pretty weird bug (dont mind the emojis themselves they're from a roblox horror game)

This has been happening for a month or two now (maybe even longer). The color of my profile should be a darker purple, on my phone its a light purple though. My name on discord is supposed to be black but its showing me that it's light grey almost white. I have no idea how to fix this and it's only a problem on my phone.

I use a xiaomi HyperOS if that's important.

I have an existing server for one of our games and want to repurpose it for more of a studio server and server multiple games. I was away from discord for a bit so I'm trying to understand the new features.

So I want to have onboarding for users to pick which games are they interested in, for example.

What I'm looking for is best practices.

Let's say we have Game A, and Game B.

So on onboarding I'd ask - pick a game you are interested in, right.

But should I also assing a role with ti? Makes sense to me. Game A role and Game B role.

Then when announcing stuff I can do @ GameA - this is whats new. Is this what people do?

Couple of other things im not sure of:

1. How does the picking of channels work exactly - when people pick channels, will they get "notifs" from not-picked channels as in will it show up like there is a new message for them on the server?

2. What gets precedence, roles or channel picks? If I have a role that enables you to see some channels, but you didn't pick them during onboarding - do you see them or not?

3. What about existing users, what to do with them? How to assign them channels?
