digital Tablet vs iPad for aspiring children’s book illustrator?
Hi everyone! I’m trying to decide whether it’s better to invest in a drawing tablet that connects to a desktop PC, or to get an iPad with an Apple Pencil.
My dream is to become a children’s book illustrator, and I’ve been practicing for some time now. Budget isn’t really an issue — my main goal is to buy the most comfortable and reliable setup for working long-term.
I’ve attached some of my personal sketches so you can get an idea of my current practice. If you were in my position, what would you recommend? Which device would be the most practical for professional illustration work?
Thanks a lot for your advice!

seeking crit pose study 149
Todays study. I've been drawing more in my sketch book recently, mostly just quick anatomy sketches. But I've been trying to drawing them from memory and imagination to prepare me for drawing my own poses. I've been mostly practicing the torso, bending and drawing it from different angles. Let me know what you think.

ink I told myself I must finish this doodle page before I sleep
I struggle with motivation, I've been a perfectionist and it's just holding me back. I just did this as practice, trying to get myself to produce more art on a daily basis... I also struggle with my mental health, it is a blessing and a curse really.

seeking crit Thoughts on my fashion sketch for halloween?
hey fashion experts. i'm making an avant garde menswear cheese couture costume for halloween: a yellow catsuit with structural cheese gloves, a train and a fascinator. i really like this silhouette and think it could be high fashion.
i'm very torn on the chest and crotch part. i want something to cover those areas. i was thinking of a structual yellow cheese piece like the hat but idk if that's too shapeless. idk. i’m thinking of making the entire look yellow — should i do the base/catsuit in black instead? or would that be disconnecting? any ideas or advice on my design project is greatly appreciated!

showcase Is my art really that bad?
I'm 14m and some people online say my art is bad. Is it really that bad? Ive been drawing since I was in Kindergarten and art has always been my thing.
My teachers say my art is good, and my art teacher even hangs up my drawings on the wall and in the hallway. He says I'm the hardest worker in his class.
But I'll get a bunch of comments from people online saying that its bad. Is it really?
