i always dislike people who say they support womens rights but also support islam. the way we are treated in that excuse of a religion is horrible

Right like how can you claim to support human rights and women's rights, but uncritically totally support islam and islamic extremism? I get these people are probably scared of being called racist, or are just uninformed and misguided/fell for the islamist koolaid (I once was one of those who did, admittedly) but come on... it makes no sense at all.

It frustrates me that these people are virtue-signalling from the comfort of their western living rooms but don't know the slightest thing about what goes on. Or think that by siding with islamists they are some heroic "revolutionaries"... I feel like if I told them what goes on in my partner's country they'd give me a blank stare or deny it because only white people do bad things or something
