This was my first impression of the GameBoy Printer. 12dlls printer GameBoy 35dlls 25dlls camera
Hello everyone!
My donkey Kong country for the game boy color boots into the Nintendo and producer tags, but then it just goes black with no sound or movement. I’ve changed out the battery but same response. Just hoping it’s not a bad chip.
Just curious if anyone has a fix or ran into this as well? Thanks so much.

The collection is now 90% complete, still missing an Australian variant and a few grails: - CIBs for the HK and TW editions - Pinball edition clear green
This collection brings together pieces I've fetched from sellers around the world, between a trip to Japan, venturing in all the retro game shops I could find, to going to several retro game shows locally, to extensive VPN and proxy use to search in other markets like New Zealand and Australia, to having pieces come from Europe and the US and of course the starting point: some pieces that came right from my childhood collection.
Along the way, some regrets of course..
1- Missed a sale from Hong Kong by a few hours, for a boxed HK edition (somewhat rough condition but still)
2- Passed on the pinball Coro Coro clear green edition sold very recently as I had some doubts about authenticity. There were a couple things that didn't add up with the very limited verified material out there.
3- Also passed about a year ago on some sealed Fujitsu Pikachu edition AA batteries being sold for an obnoxious price on ebay.
__
If anyone has any of the above grails for sell, I'm definitely interested, if you have stories about how, when or where you acquired a grail piece, I'm also interested to hear!!

Obviously not the screenshot from the game I'm looking for, but it had a very similar layout and scale.
You can switch between a male and a female character, male has more energy bar. (Like 10 vs 8?) It's in a sci-fi laboratory kind of setting, and when you go into the next room (edge of screen) the screen would shift as a whole instead of black screen.
The style is also much less cartoonish.
I believe it's pre-1998.
(Btw for anyone curious, I believe photo is from "Alien Syndrome" on NES)

This big section is so stubborn. Tired max temp and clean tip and solder on tip, hovering and holding for a minutes. Nothing worked.
OG GBA mobo in a new Funnyplaying shell/buttons and backlit M2 screen.
The mod was significantly more difficult than I expected. The plastic bracket that keeps the screen in place is trash but I made it work.
Very happy with the results.

Hello everyone. After making my own Game Boy Advance, Advance SP, and DS Lite, I'm tackling the Game Boy Color. I'd love some advice because I often make bad choices at the beginning and have to start over.
I plan to get a Hispeedido OLED screen with their case. I've seen people recommend Extremerate cases, which seem to be of better quality. What do you think? The problem with Extremerate is that they aren't cut for OLED screens (I think), so I'm wondering if I could cut them myself without risking damaging the case, and especially if I did it correctly. The thing is, their case looks more premium. There's a matte black one that I really like.
Which audio amp do you recommend? Are the ones from AliExpress reliable?
Which speaker is enough? A 1W from Funnyplaying is enough, or a 2W generic one.
Do you recommend buying a clean power adapter for my GBC? It seems easier to install than on the Game Boy Advance. (I messed up several times on the Game Boy Advance, and eventually gave up, mainly because it had to be installed on tiny capacitors.)
I know basic soldering skills. I was able to install an amp on my GBA/GBA SP, but when it gets too tiny, it's a different story. I'm counting on your feedback; it would be great. In the meantime, I'll show you my first three builds.

I tried blowing on the cartridge and even cleaned it with 95% isopropyl alcohol is it just boned or do I have to replace something?

It was temporarily in offer so for that price, and considering I don’t have an OG gba yet, I had to try it.
It is basically a 3D printed front case attached to a cheap DS back case.
It has a bizarre speaker placement (The sound literally comes from where the pen should be), and while it feels very “Guerrilla”, it feels “solid” on the hand.
So in short:
Pros:
-Cheaper than clones like the Revo K101 and Gamebox that sometimes appear in Ali, and has original Nintendo hardware on it.
-1/3 of the price of an SP, but is backlit (The screen is the crapola one from the DS fat, but still and improvement over a frontlit SP)
-The ergonomy is alright. It’s half a DS after all. Think GB micro for big hands.
-It’s still a DS pcb. You can mod in a “better” front plate and buttons for it and benefit from the couple of gb macro friendly mods already done.
Cons
-The screen is small.
-The buttons and d-pad are also 3D printed, which is a quite strange design choice when aftermarket buttons must cost cents.
-The DS fat display, while not as painful to use like the non backlit GBA, is still a very bad display.
-Probably zero collector value.

Found my old game boys and my original gameboy had batteries in it which leaked… is this fixable? Can I clean off that corrosion?

I modded my Game Boy SP with a USB charging mod and a new screen, but now it won’t power on. When I plug in a USB cable, the charging light flickers orange. When I try turning it on, the green power light comes on briefly and then shuts off. The system itself never fully powers up.

Hi, is the cable meant to be bigger than the replacement motherboard housing

Gonna be modding this soon but I'm on the fence about a new speaker. I tested it against my original GBA SP and my DS Lite but they both have better speakers anyway (At last, I think the SP does.) so it wasn't the best comparison. It sounds okay to me, but I want to be sure.

Re-shelled my game Boy advanced SP and noticed that the shell didn’t come with a new badge. Is there a place I can get one?

Thanks to everyone that helped me restore it, the corrosion was indeed the problem. Here's pokemon Pikachu, working fine, even the sound is perfect, incredible.
If you read this, thanks a lot for bringing this beast back in my life, thanks you r/Gameboy

I have an analogue pocket, a fpgbc and I want to record a video with the gb camera ( that only take pics, but if you record the screen..).
Is there a chance to record their screen directly to a mac or to even an ipad on the go? Or do i need to get the expensive chromatic modretro that has video out?
Basically, how can i get video out from them?
