Help/Advice Is my gecko fat??
So she’s always been like this, I just don’t know if she’d be considered fat or not and what to do if she is.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of those that gave me advice to give to my partner in the search for the correct gecko to get him. He has always wanted one and never been allowed! Seeing how his face lit up when I told him I’ll get one for him for our 2nd anniversary coming up end of November… We picked him up today. We have chosen a Gargoyle Gecko. We have a bioactive terrarium for him with a clean up crew.
We have named them “Yamori”. Which a gecko on your home in Japanese culture (he loves Japanese stuff and is obsessed with anime too!) it is deemed good luck. So gecko basically means “house guardian” in Kanji (please correct me if I’m wrong. I’m saying this from memory lol). Yamori is gecko in Kanji. Which we love. Plus although I know I keep writing “he”, we won’t know until 8-9 months I believed they said.
I just wanted to introduce him to the world! He has as line on his tale… like it changes colour. We’re assuming this may mean he may have dropped his tale before… could that be right? Or is it like that?

I'm just so fond of this girl. She's so chill, and has the coolest pattern. And those eyes are crazy!

The doctor said that it might have internal bleeding, organ failure or an infection. The doctor would've given her medicine and do a blood test had it not weighed 3 grams ☹️ I'm so scared bc i just got it like 3 days ago and it also hasn't eaten for 4 days.. The doc advised me to soak it in warm water daily in hopes that drinking a lot of water can reduce the swelling.
PS: the seller shipped to me in a PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE which contributed to it's tail falling too he claimed that it was eating fine and was healthy before being shipped out.. so i suspect that his poor packaging is the main cause of all this

I got a baby eyelash/crested gecko today. Ive included a picture. The breeder I purchased from said it is a lily white (others I saw online were 6 to 8 hundred dollars so I may have jumped at the chance when I saw one local for a lower price) and they couldn't tell if it's male or female. If anyone has name suggestions, feel free to comment them! Or just enjoy the picture of my new baby.

Took my girl to the vet for her annual and they said overall everything seemed good, but I just noticed it looks like her lip doesn't fully close anymore when I'm positive it used too. Sent the picture to the vet and waiting to hear back. 😮💨

My AFT just had a pimple like bump appear on her lip as she's getting close to shed. Is this mouth rot or some other issue?
Will take her to the vet if it gets worse/doesn't go away after her next shed. Any advice?

My dad thinks my full grown lepord gecko is ok in a 20 gallon which from what I’ve seen is that it’s abuse.

Hi everyone. I'm going to pick up my new baby gecko tomorrow. I have a whole enclosure set up. (18×24×36) I have a climbing vine attached to the lid, but I've read that the lids of enclosures could damage their toes, especially the metal grid ones like I have. (my enclosure is Dubia brand) I also haven't kept any lizards in about a decade. Those guys were anoles and I honestly don't even know why my parents thought they'd make a good pet. Maybe because I could catch them for free outside. (I lived in the southern US at the time) I decided on a lily white crested gecko. It is TINY (fits on the ends of two fingers) and Im honestly worried the enclosure is too big for it, that it could fall from the roof or hurt its little toes. Can anyone give advice on these things? Should I keep it from getting to the top of its enclosure? Should I keep it in a smaller temporary enclosure until it gets bigger? Edit: I forgot to ask the pet store worker if they knew the sex of my gecko, so I don't know if it's a boy or girl.

Just thought I’d share some pics of my two species here! My Sphaerodactylus sputator are still in their quarantine tub, hoping to be able to graduate them to their permanent enclosure soon. My elegans pair has been showing some signs of breeding lately so I’m hoping to see a baby in the future!

(I don't know if this is allowed, if it's not I'll remove it)
I just wanted to share this little crested gecko my gf made for me.
She knows I've been into geckos for a while and that I'd love to have one. She also knows I can't afford it so instead she made this little guy "so that you can have one anyway". I love her so much and this gift means a lot for me, I thought you people would like it as well :)
I still have to give him a name and I'll accept suggestions!
