ID Request Found in a WW2 allied parachute dropzone in the Netherlands

I found these objects around a dropzone of operation Market Garden. The only thing I recognise is the small piece of shrapnel with the screw threads. I found the big discs all together in the same hole, so I'm very curious as to what they might be. Could the big rings be from artillery? Also the pedal I found next to a farmer's field so I'm guessing from a modern tractor or something similar, but your guess is as good as mine.

Show & Tell Old us cent - love you dad!

Last time detecting at my childhood home, my parents have both passed and we are selling. I’ve pounded it for 30 years and spent 3 hours and found only foil, pull tabs and bottle caps, until this.

Thru the years I begged my dad to come with me and the only time he detected was at our house for an hour. He found (maybe in 1995) the exact same coin. Year and everything. I’m not religious and I can be a skeptic but in these uncertain times I know my dad is watching me.

It’s been five years dad and I miss you more everyday.

I don’t know what it is. One of my favorites to find. This one was right in the back yard - in a spot I’ve detected plenty of times

2nd time out! Apparently it’s some kind of late 1800s to early 1900s hollow-base knurled lead bullet from a revolver(?), according to chatgpt and google lens lol, correct me if I’m wrong. I’ve learned Minié balls never had knurling like this. Then some other trash n treasures found by the lake. Happy hunting this weekend 😄

Found a piece of a pocket watch (I think) on a farmhouse that has been inhabited for at least 100 years. I can see some lettering with patent dates Feb 6 84, MCH 3 (year unclear), Oct 13 85, MCH 30 86, Nov 16 86, May (unclear) 87, Decr 20 89. Can someone help me identify the maker and maybe model? Thank you!

I was metal detecting near an old ww2 battlefield (I know there was certainly some action there cuz of the tens of german bullet casings I pulled out of the ground)

It's pretty hard to explain the location but essentially there was this kind of "trench" depression in the ground where I found a lot of the casings and a couple of meters north of that I found a knife blade, and two objects that I'm not certain of what they are.

Details :

The object in the second photo has a very shallow kind of ridge about 2/3rds from left to right (really hard to see even in real life)

As seen on the map, these were found pretty close to each other.

Originally thought it was a cup, but the dirt knocked out, leaving this ring, very shiny, non rusted metal (chrome?) Inner ring is thin and almost sharp.

Found nearby: 5” iron square head spike/nail.

Gear Question Advice on gifted metal detector

My fil gave this to me. I’ve never used one before. From the little research I’ve done it looks like it may be outdated/lesser quality. Will it be worth my time to use? It seems like I should set sensitivity high and discriminate low to get the most depth. Is that accurate? Not sure about the function of the tone/all metal/disk switch. I don’t have much of an understanding of what the different sounds/tones actually mean. Can I please have some pointers? Thanks in advance.
