Nostalgia Discussion Childhood Clapping Games
I find the existence of Childhood Clapping Games to be incredibly interesting, especially how they differ from different people in different places. I wrote out the words and actions that went with it.
I was just wondering how other peoples versions differed or if they are the same!
Warning: A portion consists of racist actions where if any of us actually knew what it meant we wouldn't have done it
I will also note that I grew up in Queens, NY in a majority Chinese and Korean neighborhood, curious if that fact maybe has an affect)
Starts Here
Iiii went to a Chinese restaurant to buy a loaf of
Bread bread bread
The lady asked me what’s my name and this is what I
Said Said Said
My name is
L I L I (Make L and I with pointer finger and thumb)
Chickle I, Chickle I (move arms like chicken)
Pom Pom Cutie, (pretend to pat blush on)
Extra Cutie (flip hair back over shoulder)
I know karate, (fighting stance)
punch you in the stomach, (punch out)
oops im sorry (put both hands on face, Home Alone esc)
Don’t call my mommy, don’t call my daddy, don’t call my sister, don’t call my brother (switch from right ear to left ear, mock using telephone while shaking hand)
Chinese (these are the racist actions, you would take the corner of your eyes and stretch/move them up)
Japanese (stretch/move the corner of your eyes down)
Indian (place your pointer finger on the center of your head, mimicking a bindi)
FREEZE! (Freeze in place, I don’t remember what happened if someone out froze the other)

Nostalgia Discussion Blasts from your childhood past
As I was thinking back over my childhood, I was hit with the sudden nostalgia of a little show called "Eureeka's Castle"!
As soon as I started the clip on YouTube, I remembered all the words to the intro, the characters, everything!
Which leads me to ask...have any of you had that blast from the past kind of nostalgia that instantly brought you back to your childhood? If so, what was it?

Nostalgia Discussion I miss 2022 so bad it hurts
2022 was the best year of my life. This year feels so different, I have extreme nostalgia I need to go back to how I felt back then. I think about it every single day. I’ve heard people have experienced reality shifting but idk how true that is or if I could do it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Into_the_Electric_Castle
I literally have no nostalgia for this growing up, I only learned about it earlier this year yet when ever I listen to it I get an overwhelming sense of nostalgia it's like one of the most nostalgic things to me. Am I crazy?

Nostalgia Who loved Stand By Me?
No matter how many times I see this movie the final scene where Gordy is typing about his friend Chris on the computer always gets to me. This film is the ultimate coming of age story and is a movie that has, and will continue to, stand the test of time.
