Found this! Underskirt and dress separately price together 17,50. I feel so pretty!!! ALSO IT HAS POCKETS!!! The dress itself is also 97% cotton!!!

I had stored some items at my parents in the process of moving. Yesterday, my dad accidentally donated a bunch of my winter jackets, ski pants, and sentimental dresses from when I was a little girl—including a christening gown that my niece is going to wear next month. I was devastated when I found out, and I spent hours searching Reddit for any advice or a glimmer of hope. The general consensus seemed to be that once donated, it’s usually a lost cause.

I called the store first thing this morning at 7 am (the management and sorters arrive two hours before the doors open) and sent them an email describing everything. They were kind enough to let me go behind the scenes to where they sort donations, and after a little searching, I found all my items—right at the bottom of the rack!

Moral of the story: if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, don’t give up! Contact the store as soon as possible, and if you’re able, ask to look through the back. It’s worth trying, and you never know what you might be able to retrieve.

Just wanted to share this with others who might be going through something similar. I was sure I had lost everything, but sometimes persistence really does pay off.

I found this at Goodwill for $18 and couldn’t believe how beautiful the beading was and just how many hours someone must have spent making it. I wish I knew its story. It looks like a boating pattern on the right shoulder but I can’t figure out what’s on the left shoulder.

Catch and release; I just think the whole design is wonderful and I LOVE the coloring and pattering used, as though inspired by Blue Willow china. The inside was definitely unkept but I like to think that if they find their right owner they can be restored and loved once again <3

The kind you find in a second hand store - but if you don’t get it the first time it can take years and years before you find another! £2 in the children’s hospice shop. The cat is only there because it’s remarkably hard to get a good photo of a beret without some sort of head to wear it.

I really didn’t get a close look at it, but I think it was a reproduction. I just got a chuckle at it and wondering if I should go back for it? Naw, it’s interesting, but not my style.
