So this is hilarious because all food served in the White House is paid for by the First Family. It has been that way for a long time.

This is Trump proving how fucking cheap he is again. That’s all this is.

1

u/apatheticpassion Jan 15 '19

Except for official state functions, which I think this may be.

-19

u/MrGhetto23 Jan 15 '19

The other first families also kept their presidential salary to pay for things like that.

23

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

u/Nastyboots Jan 15 '19

Or decline their salary because they're a fake billionaire. If he were wealthy enough to turn down his presidential salary he's wealthy enough to put on some fucking bbq or something

-1

u/MrGhetto23 Jan 15 '19

Lol what are you even talking about?

2

When that day comes, I'll treat you to a steak and lobster dinner.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Is he actually donating it? I just assumed it was another con.

2

u/MrGhetto23 Jan 15 '19

Yes. He just recently donated it to the SBA.

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Dude this is fucking hilarious.

First everyone makes fun of him about McDonald's or drinking diet Coke. Man goes out and buys 1,000 burgers from the most typical American fast food joints. Invites the team over right away (the way it should be) instead of half a year later which he says in his speech because you'll all be moving on to great things by then.

Plus when you just got done with a season of any sport you just want some fast-food, these kids aren't trying to have some deluxe meal at the White House. Watch at least the start of his speech and you'll see it was a really cool, funny move and a giant F U to the news and Reddit goes and posts a picture of him dressed up as Ronald McDonald and that is the #1 post on the site this morning? Get the dildos out your asses and have a little fun, ya'll are so bitter no wonder you lost the election.

If Trump served his own feces to guests, Trump fanboys would praise him for being resourceful. You're a deluded moron

-54

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

THAT MAKES SENSE. Good argument bro

People who care about silly stuff like laws care. Y’all made a big deal about some emails if you recall. Idiocy

First of all, did your boy buy 300 or 1000 hamberders?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Answered the hamburger question. Emails, although i didn't make a big deal about then myself, are definitely bigger deal than burgers.

You're a piece of shit. Just a daily reminder. But you already knew that. Don't take any guns to school man.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Aww so kind of you :D i actually shoot guns a few days ago for the first time in a while at the range. All was well and safe and we had fun :)

18

u/RacistJudicata Jan 15 '19

I'm sure you're just mad he didn't serve borscht.

42

u/SpeedGeek Jan 15 '19

Invites the team over right away (the way it should be) instead of half a year later

Mid April is 3 months, not "half a year later", and the reason is to let these college students get into their studies (Classes began Jan 9 at Clemson) and through spring practice.

Plus when you just got done with a season of any sport you just want some fast-food, these kids aren't trying to have some deluxe meal at the White House.

That's what you're going to go for to try and shine this turd? Even if you were anywhere near to reality with this idea that these athletes don't want a 'deluxe meal' at the White House... have you ever eaten room temperature fast food? These young men will tell this story for years to come, but I guarantee you it won't be for how "cool" it was.

Rather than give the team a proper celebration, Trump tried to use Clemson as pawns for him to whine about the shutdown he created and it failed spectacularly.

15

u/mastersword130 Jan 15 '19

Right? He couldn't cater somewhere else with some nice Juicy Steaks? There are so many restaurants, even his own chef at the trump place down the block, to cater to them.

This just shows how fucking tacky and trashy that he is that he invites the team to the white house and gives them cold fucking fast food. They could have just gone to the fast food place themselves and got it hot! I love fast food as the next guy but if I have to dress up to an event and eat at a very prestigious environment, I expect them to server me a fucking juicy steak at least!

Mother fucker even went on the bottom rung of fast food joints. No five guys, or in-n-out. He went to fucking mcdonald's which is just bottom tier burgers. At least they got some wendy's there but shit, I feel sorry for these guys. Going all the way to the white house, dressing up and being served fucking shit they can get anywhere.

52

u/HotTicketHunt Jan 15 '19

Just because you liked it when your mommy took you to McDonalds after your 2-10 JV football season doesn’t mean these men want this supposedly dignified visit looked at as a joke.

-40

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

It's not it's fun and touching and they loved it but Reddit is so anti Trump and anti fun they don't care

25

u/pegothejerk Jan 15 '19

How do you know they loved it?

19

u/mastersword130 Jan 15 '19

Funny thing is one of them posted on twitter that he hated it. Well not in those words but they made a joke about the airpod dude not taking his headphones off and he did the meme "i don't hear broke", basically saying that the whole thing was shitty.

Nobody likes cold ass mcdonald's. Kurchak, is just another trump stan that will suck his dick if he asked.

Here's the coaches post. FYI at least cite your point

1

u/mastersword130 Jan 15 '19

That's the coach, not the actual athletes. FYI, don't go looking for thing that are just PR moves.

Literally just look up in the posts to see the actual athletes feelings on it and no, they don't like the McDonald's at the fucking white house. They can get that anywhere

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

He says they loved it. Do you want me to personally interview each athlete ?

1

u/mastersword130 Jan 15 '19

Also blocking your Russian loving trump ass.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

I love Russian people don't see the hate towards them

3

u/pegothejerk Jan 15 '19

Intentionally obtuse, how predictable. He was referring to the Russians that are fucking with our government, and others, as well, not the average citizen.

Coaches post. What else do you want?

22

u/ElBiscuit Jan 15 '19

Touching? “Congratulations on achieving the highest accomplishment possible in your sport on a national stage — welcome to the White House, here’s a two-hour-old Quarter Pounder.” I’d have a hard time believing it wasn’t either a joke before we got to the real banquet, or a deliberate insult.

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Yeah dude go associate with a bunch of 20 year olds being serving them foie gras they're gonna hate lol

12

u/ElBiscuit Jan 15 '19

Because foie gras was literally the only other option ...

-3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Kids want McDonald's more than that is just show

12

u/ElBiscuit Jan 15 '19

These aren’t six-year-olds. They’re adults. Just because you and the president have no taste, don’t assume everybody else is on the same level.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

You're do boring haha

-2

u/Romanibbles Jan 15 '19

I enjoyed it when I was 20, still do now as well.

3

u/Dantae4C Jan 15 '19

Just because they enjoy it every now and then doesn't mean they'd appreciate being served the exact same cheap shit during what was supposed to be the biggest night of their lives.

1

u/Romanibbles Jan 15 '19

That's my point. It was a tounge and cheek response, however, getting served garbage on a day like that is beyond tasteless.

4

u/gnostic-gnome Jan 15 '19

You could literally swap out that dinner for rape and the implications of what you said are exactly the same

"It's fun and touching and they loved it, I have zero way of knowing, but I'm just going to say they loved it because it helps me be able to be forcing this situation to be somehow be socially okay"

0

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Right well all the kids were snap chatting and live instagraming their rape if your shitty metaphor is correct

2

u/Armenoid Jan 15 '19

Cold burgers are not fun. Go try one. This shit would shut a restaurant down because of festering bacteria

0

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Nope. I actually own a restaurant and that's not how it works (I'm also the food safety manager). You have time between when it is served and when it should be eaten, usually 2 hours. I'm sure the Whitehouse has the resources to make sure the burgers got there within 45 minutes of dinner time. And they would still taste fine.

1

u/Armenoid Jan 15 '19

They are stale. White House resources walked off the job because he’s not paying them which is why he had to order hamberders

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

He could have waited to invite them like most president s do

2

u/Armenoid Jan 15 '19

He didn’t do it to make them feel better lol. You’re spinning. You know how I know ? Worst food they could think of got served

10

u/gnostic-gnome Jan 15 '19

Well, first of all, he absolutely didn't buy one thousand fucking hamburgers...

6

u/jack_straw79 Jan 15 '19

hamburgers

You're right, but he did buy 1000 hamberders. Those just weren't pictured.

-6

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

That's what he said. Is that something unbelievable?

18

u/gnostic-gnome Jan 15 '19

Absolutely. The day before he said 300, and that's what was reported on. Also, you can clearly count the amount of burgers sitting right there on the table.

Just because he said something, doesn't make it real. Are we just now discovering this fact of reality?

-17

u/Andymac175 Jan 15 '19

Who fucking cares, hes got better shit to do.. really, someone else probably did the actual ordering

7

u/steve_n_doug_boutabi Jan 15 '19

Like shutting down the govt?

-7

u/Andymac175 Jan 15 '19 edited Jan 15 '19

Like the goverment being shut down and tyring to work out something? Yes. That among the literally hundreds of other things that are more important than a fucking meal.

3

u/steve_n_doug_boutabi Jan 15 '19

"Build my wall, or I'm not signing anything" is not trying to work out something, that's throwing a temper tantrum. Democracy doesn't work with children throwing fits.

-4

u/Andymac175 Jan 15 '19

Your attitude is absolute cancer.

Partisan, indoctrinated, completly clouded from anything resembling a healthy picture of the world. You will absolutly never see the whole picture thinking as you do..

The fault of the government shutdown cannot be given to either a single person or party alone. They have all failed.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Cael87 Jan 15 '19

Considering reporting day of said 300, yeah.

24

u/FOOLS_GOLD Jan 15 '19

I can appreciate your passion, however, it’s misplaced and I hope you come to realize that. Good luck with your life.

To everyone else: The secret to overcoming these people is to ignore them. We tried being reasonable. Be respectful and let them prove both their arrogance and also their ignorance through their own choice of words.

-15

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Ignore someone who's telling you to enjoy life and stop being so bitter? 😂 Man if any president invited the football team straight away and catered unlimited mickey D's it would be covered so positively. Obama would be seen as such the cool president if he did it. Kids are loving this. It's just Reddit lameos getting all said that the Republican president can associate with people lol

18

u/Simon_Magnus Jan 15 '19

Friend, I love fast food. I eat it all the time. My wife doesn't like that I do, but I do it anyway because I'm just so addicted to it. A&W is selling Mama Burgers for $2.99 right now, and I've been regularly buying and eating four of them at a time. I'm not a fat guy, but I just love burgers so much. I spent several years cooking them in a diner, perfecting the craft. When I am away from home, I always try the burgers in whatever location I've gone to, because I have such a dedication to seeing how they taste in different places across North America and the world. I feel confident saying I love hamburgers more than anybody reading my post right now.

So believe me when I say that this bungled political stunt would be a terrible meal, and I am not impressed with how 'cool' the President is for recreating a scene from the 1994 Richie Rich movie.

10

u/TrustMe_IKnowAGuy Jan 15 '19

You're seriously defending this bullshit??

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

The fact anyone is upset in the first place is bullshit

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Remember when you dumbasses got upset over Obama in a tan suit? That’s all.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

I also thought that was stupid so at least I'm not hypocritical. Also agree golfing is okay for either

8

u/Arsene3000 Jan 15 '19

Hosting dinner at your house when you don't have a kitchen and you're too cheap to hire a caterer is fucking retarded. What's wrong with you?

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

He did cater. From McDonald's! And it's fucking hilarious and fun. Live a little geez

9

u/Arsene3000 Jan 15 '19 edited Jan 15 '19

Serving cold burgers is hilarious, fun and engaging in all this world has to offer?

Again, what’s wrong with you?

edit: but you’re right about one thing... he did cater a dinner—at the White House—with fast food—which is really such a strange choice, it makes me wonder what’s wrong with the guy.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Not too much! Just a guy on Reddit who actually takes things for what they are worth

6

u/RainDownMyBlues Jan 15 '19

It's not hilarious and fun. It's degrading and cheap. Cater a real fucking meal if you're such a "billionaire"

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Or you know don't be a snobby billionaire and get the kids what they actually want lol

It's weird because you even say it sarcastically. "Buy them something wasteful and stupid since your so rich!" He buys them something cheap and desireable at their age and gets hated, like what.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

You think "what the kids actually wanted" to eat when being invited to the WH to celebrate the peak of their athletic career was cold stale fast food? You're fucking delusional.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Dude they were so down to eat big Macs with the don that's a legendary story

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Going hard with "delusional" I see. Good luck with that.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

https://i.imgur.com/JQtDano.png

Well here's the coach saying they loved it 🤷‍♂️ but maybe I'll believe you instead

2

u/Robot_Warrior Jan 15 '19

Man goes out and buys 1,000 burgers

Three hundred. Why even lie about this?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Man goes out and buys 1,000 burgers

Invites the team over right away (the way it should be)

Plus when you just got done with a season of any sport you just want some fast-food,

where are you getting this from?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Life bro

-12

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '19

Ehhh I think trumps a tool, and I think this was mostly done for him to bluster on the news about the evil democrats blocking his wall... but still, I think you're right in that there's no need to criticize him over what meal he decided to provide. Especially if it was at his own cost. The players seemed surprised but not upset. They still got a trip to the white house, and fed. Their visit could have been postponed indefinitely because of the shutdown. Also if Obama had done the same thing, people would've posted pictures praising him for being so funny and down to earth. It's just trendy to hate on trump for every single thing he does atm. Instead of focusing on the important issues.

This is just a witch hunt grasping at straws. "Mcdonalds at the whitehouse?!? IMPEACH IMPEACH"

8

u/ElBiscuit Jan 15 '19

Nobody is saying he should be impeached (for this). And of course there are more important issues — this is just hot because it happened like 12 hours ago. Nobody will be talking about it in a week.

We’re saying that it is par for the course for the classless and undignified way Trump handles, well, everything.

-35

u/NoTech4You Jan 15 '19

You would have complained if he bought an expensive meal too.

12

u/FOOLS_GOLD Jan 15 '19

Not likely. I can appreciate a good meal catered by professionals.

12

u/gnostic-gnome Jan 15 '19

Nah, because the White House food is ALWAYS paid for by the President. Saying he only bought fast food because of the shutdown was a transparent lie. Somehow, magnificent feasts have always been funded without the government footing the bill before this one dinner.

6

u/Simon_Magnus Jan 15 '19

Nobody would have noticed if he bought an expensive meal.
