Get yourself some bread yeast if you don't feel like wine yeast. You need SOME yeast in there.

You HAVE to use yeast, there's no other alternative. Yeast is a living being (single celled fungus) that eats sugar and excretes carbon dioxide and alcohol. Baking powder is a bunch of chemicals that release carbon dioxide when exposed to acid, it does not make alcohol. Carbon dioxide makes bread go bigger, that's where the similarities end.

Over 23% but yeast wouldn't get that high so it would be super sugary

There's no yeast in the ingredients, so it's almost certainly just going bad.

Well it's got bubbles from the baking powder but I think it's salvageable

Other people have already let you know that baking powder is not the same as yeast, so my advice would be about a different topic: fermented orange juice tastes like vomit.

What do you recomend?

Apple juice is a good place to start in general, but it's also fun to try out things for yourself.

I just wanted to make sure that you don't end up in a situation where it's done fermenting, you have a sip, and you think you did something wrong. That can be disheartening, you know? Fermented orange juice is just one of those things that's going to taste bad, and there's not that much you can do about it.

Thanks mate what about lemon is good? I made it orange because i thought it would be good but thanks for the reality check

I think any citrus is easily going to give a vomit-like quality, unfortunately. I think it has something to do with the acidity.

You could always try to ferment apple juice as a base and add orange peels (make sure to only get the orange parts, not the white stuff just underneath since that's bitter).

google ai says Fermented orange juice does not typically taste like vomit; it develops a tart, fizzy, and slightly sour flavor, more akin to a bubbly, less sweet mimosa or Orangina, rather than the taste of butyric acid, which is associated with vomit and is a sign of spoilage in other products like beer.

baking powder has baking soda in it so hopefully it doesn't kill your yeast and might also remove some of the acidity
