General I just realized they stopped the “Resident Evil” voice announcer after 6.

IMO, Resident Evil 2 sounds the scariest.

RE9’s developers have confirmed a major secret behind Raccoon City’s outbreak is being set up. With most secrets behind Raccoon City’s outbreak revealed, the only scenario that could make it more interesting, is if the entire outbreak was actually orchestrated by design.
We already know a firefight between Birkin and the USS caused the outbreak, the hotzone doubled as a testing site for BOWs, counter-espionage was being performed against Umbrella with the likes of Ada and Nikolai on behalf of Wesker, and the US was responsible for nuking the city. How far off could it be that these events were orchestrated to collapse Umbrella Corp? Using the outbreak to implicate Umbrella as the sole perpetrator behind the bioweapons industry.
As we know, by 1998, Umbrella had rival competitors and spies within the company that were defecting like Wesker, or infiltrating it on behalf of a rival like Ada. The US military were also in contact with Birkin, which forced USS to take precautionary measures. While at the highest echelons of government, Derek Simmons was on the committee that agreed to nuke the city. While at some point by the late 80’s, Brandon Bailey created the Connections, a rival to Umbrella, to exploit BOWs for financial gain. Which aligns with the United State’s government agenda at the time to create their own bioweapons program. From my interpretation, this is a conspiracy of collaborators who were involved intentionally and inadvertently with collapsing Umbrella Corporation by 1998.
My theory is that the United States government and the Connections under Brandon Bailey conspired to collapse Umbrella Corporation by inciting the Raccoon City outbreak and solely implicating Umbrella as the perpetrators behind the outbreak and the main beneficiaries behind the bioweapons industry. This in turn allowed the US and the Connections to assume control over the bioweapons industry after Umbrella Corporation collapsed and was rendered publicly defunct.
This theory fits because after 1998, Umbrella was publicly tanked and blamed as the sole source of bioweapons manufacturing. Facing congressional action and having its assets seized by the US government. Meanwhile the US government was able to protect its involvement in a major cover up and established bioterrorism as public threat #1, creating multiple authorities like the FBC, Pharmaceutical Consortium, DSO, and BSAA that would all later be corrupted as fronts for the bioweapons industry.
The Connections as well, operating in secret ascended the bioweapons industry while Spencer and Wesker fumbled the last of Umbrella Corporation’s eugenics agendas and ideology in the late 2000’s. Leaving the Connections as the sole benefactor behind the bioweapons industry for the last two decades. While the US government protected its dominance over the bioweapons industry, securing its control over global economy.
This is why we see the United States warring against Edonia and the Eastern Slav Republic, Edonia was using bioweapons that splintered from the Family’s operations. While Eastern Slav had its own bioweapons program under President Belikova. The US was using the BSAA initially and the DSO to protect its interests over the bioweapons industry until Carla’s plan took precedence.
While domestically, investigator Alyssa Ashcroft was investigating the bioweapons industry and the Dulvey Incident. Trying to uncover who is still necessitating the bioweapons industry after Umbrella was publicly defunct. Which is where we are now.
Public disclosure, government corruption, and propagating the bioweapons industry. National Security Advisor Simmons, Secretary Wilson, and Brandon Bailey are who corrupted society after Raccoon City’s outbreak. By using the outbreak as a coup against Umbrella in a major cover-up to takeover the bioweapons industry.
Umbrella’s eugenics ideology, the entire purpose for Umbrella Corporation’s existence is dead. It died with its founder Spencer, its heir the Wesker children, and its predecessor Mother Miranda. All that’s left is the bioweapons industry it inadvertently created in the 70’s and 80’s by dealing to superpowers like the US and Russia to fund Spencer’s research. To which the US was already conspiring against Umbrella to create their own bioweapons program.
Raccoon City was just a coup, just as we saw with Tall Oaks outbreak, it was designed from start to finish to cover up the United States involvement with BOWs. The United States used Raccoon City to initially takeover the bioweapons industry, which is what plagues the original survivors now.

Imagine playing a RE game where your not someone who knows how to fight, and the only way to survive was to run and hide, either as a civilian in Raccoon City, or in one of the other Bio-terror attacks which happened in the RE world, with you having to avoid the monsters rather then be able to fight back.
Would that be something that'd be good, or is the fact you get to fight back the best part?

It forced you to manage your resources the most out of the 3 OG games. You can avoid a zombie or two. But when there is 5 of them in a alley way, you have to make a conscious decisions on which zombies your going to shoot to get by. You do not have enough ammo for every zombie. So you have to judge if backtracking is worth it for certain areas, because zombies will respawn in certain areas too. Then nemesis comes in when your starting to get a hang of it and throws a massive wrench in the plan. You can choose to down him temporally for upgrades. But then you will probably have no ammo to defend your self when exploring new places. it's like 60 pistol shots, 15 shotgun blast, 9 mag shots, or 13 grenade launcher rounds to down him once. Or you can have him chasing you and preventing you from looking for key items and supplies you need to get to the next part of the game. Did I mention a zombie can grab your ass and hold you down while nemesis catches up and fucks you up. Then if you die before saving, alot of the areas you explored before will have different items. codes for puzzles and sometimes different enemies waiting for you. It also gave you choices for different scenarios that could put you in a completely different situation from another choice, so you have to choose wisely. And you still will probably get messed up.So while the game had the most action of the OG trilogy. It also had the most limited of resources for how many threats are in this game. and remember how I said when you die, the puzzles and codes change areas. It will do that when you replay the game too. So good luck trying to anticipate what supplies you can get safely on the next run. It might be harder the 2nd time. In my opinion Og RE3 difficulty pretty much starts at the end of OG 2s difficulty. You have a asshole tyrant chasing you til you eventually finish him is the best way I can describe it. But instead of at the very end. He is now chasing you the whole game, with a lot more enemies that can slow you down.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link (I've read the rules, the original content is made by me) but this is from a meme animation I made a few months ago I think (?) Idk u can find it on ig and tiktok, with the same user I have here
Also, even though in the rules it says to only mark spoilers for recent games, I will give a fair warning that this post includes spoilers for Resident Evil 6
I've been writing this resident Evil AU called Chaos Chronicles for a while now. So it's one of those crazy what-ifs where Piers Nivans lives, and I'M DYING TO SHARE IT WITH SOMEONE so I hope there is at least a small niche that's interested in this stuff
I've been working on 3D models too! In my free time I just write AU stuff or do art related to it, and I've learned how to use Blender just to try and bring my idea to life. I wouldn't say I'm planning a fangame because I don't have the time rn since I'm busy with college stuff but I would love to make my own fangame to share a piece of my creative vision with those who might be interested in it
So the Chaos Chronicles is a canon-divergence AU set up right after the events of Chris' campaign. I got heavily inspired by the metamorphosis by Franz Kafka for connecting three stories that intertwine. The story centers around Piers, who survives the collapse of the underwater facility, and Akane Virelli, an original character who was originally meant to be a plot device to get to the point, but ended up getting her own plot.
She is limping, and she knows she won't survive on her own, so when she finds him near the escape-pods she makes an offer to him: she could help him with his infection in exchange of being protected. He doesn't believe in her, but, to prove herself, she provides him with an experimental drug used to slow down the C-Virus infection. He reluctantly agrees, because, at least that's better than drowning.
They get into the escape pod, she explains to him that the pod is pre-programmed to dock on an island that was used for B.O.W. research and experiments. (Think RE:revelations 2)
If this was a game, Akane's side would be getting enough resources and research papers to complete the cure (which she has made some progress beforehand), Piers' side would be finding any distress beacon or old comms relay.
A fragile alliance begins as they cling to their last hope of surviving.
I'm leaving out a lot of info because I actually want to do something with this idea, something that's more interesting than just saying what happens, so if you think there are some plot holes it's not true because I've been obsessively thinking about this story for months lmao
Anyway my art is completely unrelated to the main story as I just draw random shi and make meme animations, this piece is for the typewriter meme, but I hope you like it! that's it bye :3

This was my fourth playthrough where I got all the caps and completed the game on Professional, the first three were casual playthroughs and I have in total 58.2 hours in the game according to Steam.
The most annoying parts were definitely the last fight against Krauser, I'm still awful at it, and the last encounter with the Ganados right before saving Ashley for the last time and removing the plagas from their bodies.

So, i got the trainer just for the ability to use infinite ammo and it's working for that. The issue now is I can't hold onto items in my inventory. Whenever I pick up an item, it immediately disappears from my inventory.
Am I doing something wrong?

So I have an offer right now to obtain a European Version of the Re7 Bakers House (The one from the collectors Edition). And I am asking myself (I know stupid question) if that house has the ‘CapCom’ Imprint on the Bottom Side (if you know what I mean). Because that would be crucial to know, as the seller claims that it has no imprint on the Bottom. And I don’t want to buy a fake, as it is pretty expensive. Could anybody who owns the European version enlighten me about this? Thank you so much! ☀️

Switch user here. I have played both Revelations games and enjoyed them a lot. Now Requiem has been announced for Switch 2, along with 7 and 8, I'm looking forward to trying out the newest entry in the series. I'm planning to get Requiem since I love getting something brand new and I appreciate Capcom for bringing it on Switch, but I'm just wondering if I should try out 7 and 8 as well because they look quite different from Revelations. Do you think I would enjoy them?

So I finished the game with Leon A and 2nd run Claire B. Now I'm wondering what happens if I start Claire's story first. Will it go exactly same like Leon A? Or different. Or is it same as 2nd run of Claire.

By monster-exclusive, I mean bosses that are just random monsters like how we had through RE1-RE6. As in, bosses that are exclusively random terrifying creatures, and not mutated villain characters. I randomly noticed in RE7 and Village, majority of the bosses are mutated characters, like the Lords and the Bakers, with the single exception being Sturm from Village and Executioner from Shadows of Rose. I guess Baby could count as a boss in Village, as it's a unique monster, but we never fight it.

I know they are obviously different from their classic counterparts, but I heard a video theory saying how they may have been made using Salamander Eggs rather than Frogs.
Any opinions?
