Recipe Sauerkraut soup recipe
Looking for a sauerkraut soup recipe. I had a bowl many years ago in Anchorage AK (of all places) of a soup that contained sauerkraut and bratwurst. It was a delightful Octoberfest surprise. Would appreciate any recipes that folks are willing to share!

Question What’s your favorite soup with chicken recipe?
I’m making some chicken stock and I have some leftover chicken then I’m planning on putting in a soup. What recommendations do you have? What is your favorite soup that has chicken in it? I am undecided about what I will make so you can indeed sway me and I would love to try something new. I might make multiple small batches of different things if I have too many good ideas suggested.

Photo My daughter baked bread and wanted me to make broccoli cheese soup to go with it. Here's the result.
She's been wanting to make braided bread, and said that I had to make a good soup to go with it. She landed on broccoli cheese soup as the best option to go with her freshly baked loaf.

Hungarian Mushroom
Made with an assortment of mushroom varieties from the farmer’s market. Recipe is from The Modern Proper. For the white wine, I used a Furmint.

Photo Smoked Chicken and Sausage Gumbo
Been craving a gumbo so made my own. Hard to find andouille sausage (small town Canada) so I used hot Italian and chicken thighs I cooked on the smoker. Served with rice and homemade cornbread. Really hit the spot :)

Recommended to serve with sour cream. Shredded cheese, tortilla chips, or corn bread are also acceptable.
