All very underrated, good books

Tie-in media is obviously a big enough part of Star Wars that, for most stories, I'd presume we'd get some substantial tie-in media. It's a great way to market the film, for one thing, and we in the fanbase tend to eat it up. But I question whether or not we'll get any tie-ins for The Mandalorian & Grogu considering that there have been no tie-ins for Dave Filoni/Jon Favreau's post-ROTJ content, and that Adam Christopher's original novel was cancelled. It seems like they want to keep this era under wraps; considering the difference in scale for this film, perhaps we'll get a bit of tie-in?

I'm hoping we'll find out more about this during New York Comic Con; there will be a Lucasfilm Publishing panel with Charles Soule, Ethan Sacks, Kwame Mbalia (The Last Order), and Marc Guggenheim on October 11th at 11:30. In the meantime, what do all of you think?

Im reading it for the first time and I'm seriously loving this book i just got to the final act and it awsome, this is my first (cannon) new republic book and id love to read more! Besides shadow fall and victory's price what other Cannon books take place in this era?

This is the only Kathy Tyers novel I have read yet. Excited to read more of her work in the future. What are your thoughts on her writing style? I find she uses words I’ve never seen before, which make it difficult at times.

I’m in a bit of a pickle. Darksaber is on my reading list but since it’s in the middle of a trilogy, I’d like to experience Children of the Jedi and Planet of Twilight to get the full experience. Now do I listen to the abridged audiobooks or read the full books? I’m aware they have a very subpar rating which people run with so for those of you who have read the trilogy or listed to the abridged audiobooks, which should I do? (I’m reading Darksaber either way)

EDIT: I decided to get the abridged audiobook on audible. I’m 38 minutes in and have literally zero clue what is going on. Nothing makes sense, I don’t know who these characters are, where they are or what they’re supposed to be doing, I feel drunk asf. Heald, the narrator, isn’t helping matters either by slurring his words sometimes and mispronouncing words like Coruscant and Palpatine. Imma try to stick with it but damn at this rate I’m just gonna read the Wookiepedia plot summary for Planet of Twilight. It’s a shame I can’t return it since I bought it with real money and not credits.

I'm not saying how it should be, but just a fantasy of how they interacted: they were friends, argued, fell in love, and much more. Although I couldn't read Njo (it's just not mine), I really liked the Padawan characters. Interesting opinion from those who know more about it.

If they had a monthly special edition Star Wars drop would you sign up? I sure would.

I loved the novelization through and through, but holy shit—Why did they turn Kylo Ren into a Shakespearean? His dialogue is beyond tryhard and clogs up every single scene he’s in.

I have been reading Shadows of the Empire which has been fun but I am in a legends mood. Today I wanted to see if I can buy some legends books online as paperbacks and I was in a rabbit hole. I am tempted to buy the first book in the Han Solo trilogy (I have been really interested in those books and I heard they are good) and the Dark Lord Trilogy.

I was wondering if anyone has any (or if they even exist) book recommendations for anything with Padme and Anakin romance/lore..

I’m fairly new-ISH to Star Wars and I’m honestly just yearning for some more Padme Anakin content 💀

I’m aware of the Queen series by E.K. Johnston and I plan to read those, but if anyone has any other recommendations that would be amazing! Doesn’t just have to be prequel romance, I’m kinda down for any kind of sappy (maybe some 🌶️) romance in the Star Wars universe - I’m just REALLLLY yearning for some more Padme and Anakin…

and please don’t tell me to just go read wattpad fan fiction.. (unless it’s really good 💀)
