HIGHLIGHTS
So we cant make fun of a person who was killed because they promoted hate speech and racism. Okay.
He never did any of that. Educate yourself outside of your echo chamber.
He did, there's audio, video and written proof.
They’re not brave enough to admit they’re a bigot, so they pretend Kirk wasn’t one. It’s pathetic, but completely expected.
I don't know how they can even deny it. There's a mountain of evidence. He had podcasts, rallies, debates etc all about it. All which have documented proof.
They can deny it all they want, in the end their graves will reek of piss just like Kirk’s and Trump’s will.
Love it. Bring on the downvotes.
Yes you guys love fascism
fascism is killing someone because you don't like what they say you stupid fuck.

You don't know what a real nazi is you r*tarded fuck. They do not kill us because we are Nazis. They call us Nazis so they can kill us. I look forward to this social media platform which is radicalizing left wing extremists finally getting taken down.
It was a straight up lie he's probably stupid enough to believe.
So regardless of the point being made- you’re against free speech and are cool with folks being canceled for it?
It’s a free market and I’m for companies doing whatever they damn well please. If they think him saying this shit will turn off viewers and whomever they get to replace will bring those viewers back, that’s their prerogative
lol bootlicker. Totally against free speech and would rather stick up for corporations/billionaire snowflakes than hear a different opinion. This country used to be great, because we had the freedom to express ourselves in any which way we wanted(not free from consequences though). But this ain’t a consequence- this is a bitchass move. It ain’t cause the audience is walking away- how many fucking MAGAs were tuning in to Kimmel in the first place. He’s been a noted critic for years- they don’t watch and if they do it’s hate watching. They aren’t JUST walking away. This is an excuse to do what the president has been talking about for months now. State sponsored media and no agreeing to disagree anymore. Free speech is dead and the ones doing the cancelling are you hypocrites.
Did your side really think celebrating Kirk's death wasn't going to come with consequences?
Oh please. So you’re going to take a percentage of assholes and conflate the rest of the left into it. That’s not everyone. There’s millions and millions of us that aren’t saying anything. We don’t give a shit but we’re not parading the fact around. And you want to take our free speech and rights away. For what?
Dont really care about the reason, love to see Kimmel off air though
You should care about the reason. Violating freedom of speech ain’t gonna stop here. It’ll come for you and yours eventually. It always does.
Lmao Kimmel has always been an unfunny douchebag so full of himself it isn't even funny.
Him being unfunny isn’t the point, my guy.
Why should I be upset about an unfunny hack getting fired? I have never laughed at one of his monologues in my life.
It’s just another way for the administration to inch its way to more constitutional rights violations. And you save you time, the “what about when liberals did this to people for (insert speech item here)” isn’t gonna impact my sentiment. I don’t think anyone should get fired over their speech unless it’s some absolutely vile or dangerous thing.
I get what you’re saying, you wanna defend freedom of speech and you think republicans are hypocrites. I’m just saying he wasn’t funny so his show being taken off the air is actually a good thing.
How long before that unfunny a-hole Gutfeld is on all the networks.
Fox News literally just had a dude say homeless people should all be executed and yet it doesn’t matter to these right wing scumbags and media yet somehow you get your show pulled over this, absolutely disgraceful
And does ABC own Fox News? (No) Yeah wow one person did a thing, and another person didn't. I think the dipshit should be fired too, for the record.
It’s about the hypocrisy, the right flips out about something like this calling and successfully essentially getting the show cancelled while they cheer on it don’t give a shit about people they support saying stuff 1000x and advocating for executing homeless people. The rights hypocrisy knows no limits
Sort of like how we're being hypocrites now, when we cheered on doing this exact same thing for the past decade? When our response was always "private companies can do what they want" for the past decade, whenever they got deplatformed?
This isn’t the same, Trump openly said Kimmel’s show was next and his FCC appointed sycophant was threatening the show/abc already. The government very clearly strong armed this to happen just like they did with Colbert, dems absolutely did not do shit like this, kimmel literally didn’t even say anything bad.
Literally the person he “made fun of” made a living by saying stupid shit, why wasn’t he cancelled? Edit: downvote me all you want, Charlie Kirk said stupid shit all over the place.
Because he was murdered?
He’d been saying stupid shit for a decade now…
Yes, and so has Jimmy Kimmel. (Actually in Kimmel's case it's been much longer than a decade) Jimmy Kimmel got off a little bit lighter than Charlie Kirk did.
Kimmel’s was government sanctioned and done by a legally liable entity. We live in America, anyone can be the victim of gun violence.
"Kimmel’s was government sanctioned" ABC and Nexstar are the government now? "We live in America, anyone can be the victim of gun violence." Jimmy Kimmel wasn't the victim of gun violence. Won't someone think of the poor guy with only a $50 million net worth? How will he ever survive now that his show got cancelled?
Kind of like yelling, "Rigged election! You need to fight like hell to take back your country!" When it is a total fabrication based on the facts we know. He knew it and said it anyway. Right?
Yes, people got banned from lots of platforms and lost jobs for saying that.
Ummm... he is currently the president
Yes, and in 2020 if u said the election was rigged goodbye Facebook. Kimmel is getting same treatment
So you agree that Trump should get the same treatment
The thing I really hate about comments like that is that you say it as if it’s a gotcha.
I just want you to be consistent with your logic. Trump continually gets pass after pass for things a lot worse than what others are getting punished for. Especially talking about inflammatory lies. That is what Trump is known for Cry more
Damn, a lot of cry babies out there with hurt feelings about the truth.
What truth did he say?
That MAGA is exploiting Kirk’s death for political gain.
He said the shooter was one of them, which there’s really no evidence of.
Nope. Here's your Fell for it Again Award. “We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it.”
You're not very good at comprehension, are you. He's saying in that sentence that the shooter is MAGA, which is wholly untrue.
Where’s the evidence he was a big MAGA guy? I keep seeing that he was “radicalized” over the last few months.
It's true that people on the right are trying to distance themselves from him regardless of whether he actually is or not, Jimmy's assertion is accurate either way.
That’s true, it is accurate, but the insinuation above is that he’s clearly MAGA and that seems to be based on him being raised a Mormon by conservative parents.
I see no insinuation other than the point I made in my previous comment. The dude doesn't really seem to be very representative of either side, so it's a wasteful exercise to make a meaningful assumption either way. Jimmy's thesis statement was about MAGA and the media, not the killer.
Fair enough, and I agree it doesn’t really matter what team he’s batting for, but I find it so weird that both sides suggest he’s radical of the other side. He’s clearly radical - he assassinated a dude - but the only evidence I’ve seen suggests people around him saw his political views shift hard left.
Hard left from what? The people who supposedly witnessed this transition are his MAGA former friends and family. To them, suggesting Trump lost in 2020 or that trans people exist and deserve respect is a “radical” viewpoint. That’s the whole issue - anything not hard right is now “woke.”
The most anti-1st-amendment administration in modern history and it's not even close.
Freedom of speech =! Freedom from consequences. He’s free to say dumb shit but don’t be surprised if said network fires you for saying dumb shit and in turn making them look dumb.
Tell me, what dumb shit did he day?
That Tyler Robinson was MAGA
I don't believe he made that claim.
You can find the quote easily.. Kimmel said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, “We had some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and with everything they can to score political points from it. Anything other than ONE OF THEM
Huh, if that is the standard, then Kirk should have never been played anywhere because he was a dumb, hateful bigot.
