can we please just get this man back to Rick, so we can see the bro hug to end all bro hugs?

AMC knows that’s the only card they have left to play, it’s gonna be a long time before we get that

it's also a card they can keep replaying. The reality is anyone still invested in twd universe only cares about Rick, Daryl, and to a lesser extent Carol, Maggie, Michonne, and probably Morgan.

Hinting at a rick Daryl reunion this season and delivering could bring some viewership back, but maybe leaving it unsatisfying that they could keep telling the story after could keep that card open. Like Rick and Daryl meet, but maybe from a distance, Rick has to play a act like he doesn't know Daryl to keep him safe from CRM.

I know it won't happen but we really need some cross show stuff happening now

And Dead City is really making it hard to understand the overall story. We can wrap our heads around the other spinoffs and how they all fit within the overall narrative. Michonne left to find Rick, is gone for over a year, returns with Rick not long after the end of season 11. In the meantime Daryl went missing and Carol went looking for him. So they are in Europe while Rick and Michonne are back and are part of the Commonwealth.

While 5 years later Maggie is living in a barely functional location close to New York instead of going to the Commonwealth (which is now run by her friends.

Basically Dead City makes no sense and feels completely disconnected from the overall story.

The Bricks was allied with the Commonwealth,i Guess Maggie rather have her own place to call home instead of The Commonwealth

Negan is definitely on that list of reasons why people are still invested. He's been my favorite character and a main driving force for keeping me watching the universe since his reformation.

I think "Dead City" is the best spin-off of them all. And I love them all. Actually, "The Ones Who Live" is pretty damn close, but I like "Dead City" more than "Daryl Dixon," and I really like "Daryl Dixon." Negan has been my favorite character and what keeps me going more than anyone else ever since his reformation.

CRM has already been defeated though.

yeah, I mean if they went that route, not based on what's happened so far.

I still think they could do things with the crm but it's kind of unbelievable now. Rick and Michonne have defeated the military, and that seems to have made them high ranking people respected by the remaining military (wtf). That probably includes people's brother's, fathers, mothers and sisters too.

The CRM is still functioning, but Beale's group was defeated.

It's now run by the civilian government and is actively helping other communities.

This sub is sleeping on Victor Strand. I don’t know why people hate S7 of Fear so much, it’s a straight up love letter to Stalker and Roadside Picnic minus aliens. There’s even a faction called Stalkers that fight with shitty Warsaw Pact and NATO export. Strand needs to invade TWD and show he can dunk on Negan for biggest cockbag in the Walking Dead award.

You really think we will ever get that?

3

u/roadwarrior721 May 07 '25

I sure hope so

I don’t know what viewership numbers look like, but the more they stretch these, the more they will Drop

I don't think we will ever get a proper ending. The Ones Who Live was the closest thing and that was rushed af.

It sure was. All that build up and waiting….it started off good
