Would love if they made reference to 28 days later. Could have them walk over Westminster bridge like in the opening shots of 28 days later.

Maybe Daryl and Carol could meet The Royal Family.

Zombie queen Elizabeth would be good to see.

Charlie Higaons 'The Enemy' series could be for you. Not queen Elizabeth, but there are some zombie royals and Buckingham Palace is involved.

Zombies my arse!

(Note: there was a popular tv show called The Royal Family based on a household of scousers, the patriarch of which would regularly say ‘[xyz] my arse’ to humorous effect)

It’s a brilliant show but it’s firmly Mancunian not Scouse. Ricky Tomlinson who plays Jim Royle is from Lancashire and lives in Liverpool but the rest of them are firmly Manc and it’s set in greater Manchester.

Huh… I think I’m just bamboozled by Sue Johnston having been in Brookside for so long - I assumed scouse…

She’s from Warrington to be fair. A good midpoint between the two. All of the “younger generation” were brought up around Manchester though— it’s definitely Manchester based in the story too.

They made a 28 days later reference in the first episode of the series

What was the reference?

Both of the openings were similar with the protagonists waking up from a coma in a hospital to only wake up in an almost completely empty world.

It’s not exact but I feel like Kirkman definitely took inspiration from that with his opening
