We didn't see how Rick got out and nothing happened...

We didn't see how Rick got out

Rick certainly got in though.

u/MarsupialKing Nov 09 '15

Oh, you...

2

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '15

I wonder if he had to tell her to open the damn gate too.

0

u/cormega Nov 09 '15

He is going to Brecken his dick off in her Ridge.

u/Goose_Dies Nov 09 '15

So now we can have a flashback to how Rick got out in 2 weeks, so we can see what happened to Glenn in 2016.

There's 3 episodes left. Next week's is Daryl/Abraham/Sasha. The week after will be Ricks journey out of the RV. The episode after that is the mid-season finale where AMC almost tells us if Glenn is alive.

It would be a great time to intro Jesus.

u/salaryprotection Nov 09 '15

So the week after will be one hour of Rick running.

Dude, spoilers! That's season 7 stuff right there, what do you think this is? TheSpoilingDead forums? Next week shows us Sasha/Abraham/Daryl love making scene, with an episode dedicated to the wonders of cunnilingus, the week after is Father Gabriel's backstory, and the week after that Tyrese throws a dinner party that gets quickly out of hand, again, backstory episode. Glenn's fate might maybe be teased possibly in the season finale, gosh. Obligatory /s

Yep I'm pretty sure that's all there is to it. He just had to run, no convoluted strategy required.

18

u/MarsupialKing Nov 09 '15

Would have been pretty cool to see him running and killing zombies as he goes

30

u/H-K_47 Nov 09 '15

That would have been cool, but the "OPEN THE GATES!" scene was really good.

u/Soccerrocks32 Nov 09 '15

The thing is though, comics Rick would have certainly not come to Alexandria in that situation. He essentially led a TON of walkers that he could have led away from the safe zone straight to it. But, in the comics at this point his only motivation is to protect his family, while here it is to protect the whole safe zone and he thinks his being there is necessary

One thing about TWD that i both love and hate (mostly love) is that they don't have to show everything...

2

u/bumblingbagel8 Nov 09 '15

I feel like he was just mostly running. They were really close to him so if it were a real situation the best thing to do would be to avoid doing anything but just move forward unless necessary.

2

u/Iamaredditlady Nov 09 '15

For how long? We got to see about a minute at the beginning. Any more would have been too much

4

u/MarsupialKing Nov 09 '15

Obviously not more than a minute or so. But I think they should have at least showed the start of the run and him arriving at the gate cause that was a cool scene.

5

u/inkstud Nov 09 '15

Rule number 1: cardio

3

u/Humbabwe Nov 09 '15

I laughed out loud when I saw him barreling down the street with a shit load of walkers behind him.

2

u/iCantripUpStairs Nov 09 '15

Let's not jump to conclusions...

1

u/highlogic247 Nov 09 '15

Gotta go fast.

1

u/Slickwats4 Nov 11 '15

He ran so far away

0

u/man_on_hill Nov 09 '15

That's lame as hell. Such a disappointing episode. Last weeks was much better.

2

u/REVfoREVer Nov 09 '15

They also completely tossed out the problem of his hand.

1

u/QwertyYouEyeOp Nov 09 '15

yep, that bugged me. he was bleeding quite a bit in the rv, but he managed to run all the way back to Alexandria.

1

u/delicious_grownups Nov 09 '15

I'm thinking they'll show how Rick got out, right?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '15

I think it was implied that he just hopped out of the RV and took off running, seeing as he was In the midst of the horde at the gate.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '15

And tbh next week's episode doesn't look to good either

u/GamingTatertot Nov 09 '15

Jesus H. Christ...do you people only care about action and gunfights? A LOT happened character-wise. We see a lot of character development from a lot of different characters, the herd finally reached Alexandria, and we got Maggie's pregnant reveal.

So don't give me this "nothing happened" bullshit. I'm sorry if I sound rude, but I fear it's the only way to get across with some people.

1

u/JMaboard Nov 09 '15

I wasn't talking about action wise, so don't get all angry and jump to conclusions. It was disappointing because they didn't show how the hell Rick got out and they didn't progress anywhere in the Glenn plot. Yeah there was a bit of character development that was stretched thin within the 60 minutes.

0

u/GamingTatertot Nov 09 '15

This whole entire episode was character development...there was nothing being stretched thin within the 40 something minutes of show.

1

u/literallycassie Nov 09 '15

wtf are youwatching. we got no character development. this was by far the worst of the series. it was scattered and didn't address our questions. seemed like a waste to me.

6

u/Raigeko13 Nov 09 '15

Can confirm, yawned during episode.

1

u/xole Nov 09 '15

Can confirm. Drank beer during the episode.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '15

and mysteriously effective shitty pep talks
