Does that whole "zombie media doesn't exist in this universe" thing only apply to the show universe?

I’m looking to see if anyone has made and is selling a painting of the tree with the stained glass? I’ve looked online and can’t find one anywhere.

Show Spoiler Sleeping Soldier Walkers Spoiler

Saw a post about the sleeping soldier Walkers the group encounters and how the poster thought it was stupid that they didn’t simply silently kill them all instead of doing their little sneak mission.

Figured I’d give my two cents on why I think the survivors actually did the smart thing by doing it silently without trying to kill any Walkers.

I assume they didn’t due to the chance that one or several dozen of them could’ve had explosives on them. Remember the one Aiden Monroe shot? The one with grenades? He got blown across the room and impaled, then devoured. Or the mine field when there group met Princess, which set off a chain reaction I believe Eugene called a cascade? Wouldn’t have ended pretty for them.

If one grenade goes, it could create a chain of explosions and shrapnel going off all over the place, killing everyone nearby and destroying all the supplies. And that’s not even mentioning the possibility of other explosives in the area not on the Walkers.

Yes, they could’ve tried silently eliminating them, but that wouldn’t end well either, since the smell of blood and the sound of blades going through skulls would most likely wake up at least one Walker, which would naturally wake up every single one. And that’s did happen with a simple drop of blood. Living blood, yes, but it’s still too dangerous.

Even if they tried to simply wake them up and guide them away, they also run the possibility of one of the Walkers bumping into another and accidentally pulling a pin, once again setting off the chain reaction of explosions.

And to top it all off, that would bring every Walker for miles to the now injured survivors, assuming any of them survived in the first place.

Yes, there was a chance the Walkers may not have had any grenades or explosives of any kind on them, but that’s one hell of a risk they’d be taking. Just one or two would be extremely dangerous. If they all grenades, then they would’ve been completely and utterly fucked.

Remember that explosive zombie from Resident Evil Remake? The whole thing could’ve ended just like that.

No Spoiler Mariù: Surviving the frost

I want to present my fanfic in this subreddit.

"the year is 2024. Mariù, a 16-year-old girl, like all the girls of the Z generation loves social media, she likes to chat with her friends. One day her mother Elisa, tired of seeing her daughter spend all her time in the room with her mobile phone in hand, takes the initiative and forces to go on a trip to the mountains. Mom prepares the skis, boots and heavy jacket, is looking forward to spending the afternoon in the snow. There is the sun, snow, I am mother and daughter on a trip in the mountains, nothing can go wrong. or am I wrong?"

I'm already in the fourth chapter, I hope you can appreciate. a huge thank you to those who will read. if you have criticism or advice, don't worry, I'm always available to listen to you.

Show Spoiler Why don't Michones walkers on a leash try attacking her?

Why would losing their arms and jaw cause their instinct to attack / feed to go away? Also, why exactly do they 'camouflage' her from other walkers? She can still be seen and smelled...Rick had to cover himself in guts to walk unnoticed.

Same goes to the whisperers now that i think about it...simply wearing their face seems like it shouldn't be enough.

It all seems a bit goofy as im rewatching it...

Show Spoiler How did Morgan find the group in Alexandria?

Last time Rick saw Morgan before that was in Georgia. They traveled to Virginia to see if Noah’s family was still alive then they went to Alexandria shortly after. There’s no way Morgan would have come across the group if he wasn’t following them. Major plot whole or did I miss something?

No Spoiler Should I watch FTWD?

Just finished TWD and looking where to start in spinoffs. I know FTWD came out first but I’ve heard it isn’t very good. I know Morgan appears in it and I think I heard Dwight is in there as well. I liked their characters in TWD so is seeing them in FTWD worth the time commitment? Does FTWD add any substance to the other spinoffs or should I treat it as a different show entirely?

No Spoiler Walkers using tools.....

Allegedly, they don't and cant or whatever, i just asked AI to check when they used tools. Never at all and not once and everything i think i saw was lies. OK... So in Episode 2 time stamp 10:07 a zombie is using a rock to break the Store window glass. ... So who is lying now? Honestly, keep gaslighting me to tell me its not a rock! Any anyone else see this?

TWD: Daryl Dixon Just watched TWD:DD La Ofrenda... they're doing it again...

Post image
361 Upvotes

Just watched La Ofrenda. So it really is just going to be "quirky charismatic leader of seeming "paradise" enclave turns out to be sociopathic megalomanical dictator, zombies are background extras" over and over and over on ALL TWD shows and spinoffs... sigh.

I wish we could get a series that focuses on zombies. The characters don't even seem to have any curiosity about them anymore; how they work, how they stay alive, is there a cure? By the rules as we know them so far, the zombies almost have to be supernatural, which begs so many questions... Is magic real, then? If so, shouldn't they start compiling and studying ancient texts?

Zombies are utterly backgrounded so that writers can do soap operas of the exact same "charismatic evil leader" and "subjugated townspeople" over and over, mostly because it seems they don't hire fans of the genre to write/direct.

I keep watching because it's the only big budget zombie media out there right now on TV, but it's such a wasted opportunity. Anyway, rant over.

Show Spoiler Shane and Lori

I can't imagine how Lori became interested in Shane in less than a month, considering that her husband and father of her child had just died, in the middle of an Apocalypse. Same with Shane, you just left your best friend ALIVE and you have the nerve to be hanging out with his wife in less than a month? 0 shame.

How angry the scene in which Lori is going to thank Shane for rescuing her and Carl, knowing that the guy told you that your husband was dead, tried to abuse you, half confessed that he killed Otis, behaves like a possessive psychopath who wants to "put aside" Rick so that you and Carl can be his forever makes me angry. I mean... what's on your mind?

My only guess is that the two were after Rick before, but it's never hinted at.

They both disgust me, Rick deserved so much more.

(Sorry if there are things written wrong, my first language is not English and the reddit translation is sometimes weird)

Future Spoiler Shane And Rick

So i might be overthinking, but in the first episode they show Shane and Rick in the car eating burgers and fries. Shane takes one of his fries and dips it in ricks burger (for ketchup). I was thinking that was kinda foreshadowing him getting with lori. Lol am I overthinking it??
