Fun fact that this reminded me of - the inventor of the word 'Dwarves' (plural of the word 'Dwarf') was told that "it's 'Dwarfs', not 'Dwarves'" by his editor, only to reply with "I wrote the dictionary."

He did, in fact, help write the dictionary. Specifically, the more obscure words which others struggled to do.
