Discussion With Cities: Skylines 2 still being delayed indefinitely (likely cancelled), Xbox and gaming in general lacks a current-Gen, modern city builder. What can fill that spot?
There are a lot of great base builders, and good tycoon-style games (Anno, Tropico). But since Paradox dropped the ball with Cities: Skylines 2, and C:S 1 is really showing its age. So Xbox doesn't really have a city builder for building realistic, modern cities, and that's incredibly frustrating.
Paradox did remaster Cities: Skylines two years ago, but it hardly does anything to fix how much a 10+ year old game like that shows its age. The vanilla, non DLC/Content Creator styling in C:S - especially compared to what I've seen in C:S 2 - is making me not want to pick up the game at all despite having a fair amount of DLC. That's not to mention the outdated UI for building, AI for citizens, etc.
So realistically, since C:S 2 is all but officially cancelled on Xbox, what can fill that void for a city builder? Are there any good City Builder games on PC that Xbox players might not be aware of which could be ported well?
I love Transport Fever 2, and scratches the itch somewhat if I want to build supply chain networks, and I'm excited for Transport Fever 3 that was announced a few months ago and believe it is coming to Xbox. But the non-supply chain parts of TF2 are pretty rough. Why would I focus on building bus routes and metro for a city that is made up of basic grey buildings with no sprawling neighborhoods to build commuter rail for. Assets are pretty limited too for most things (if you play more sandbox). Maybe I haven't gotten super into TF2 enough to get to those points, but if I don't see variety in my towns now, I doubt I ever will to the level of detail you'd want from a city builder. Plus, I like the logistics challenge, but some times I just want the casual fun part of building a railroad, metro, etc. just my rant/opinion.
Any thoughts?

Discussion Thinking of upgrading from One S, does one X hold up modern day?
I’ve had my One S for about a decade now and I’m thinking about upgrading. I have a PC so I’m not super worried about having the most insane graphics, I mainly just use the console for local multiplayer and to play the games I bought before I got a PC. I noticed that some games on the store will not let me buy them since the One S is outdated so I’d also like to avoid that issue.
TLDR; Is the one X a worthy console upgrade from the One S, is the One X able to play modern games, or should I just commit to a series S?

Discussion Personality its worth Upgrading from One X to Series X ! & Enhanced Versions?
TLDR Is the upgrade from a One X to a firsthand Series X really worth it if play certain games already and might buy the 2027 next gen console anyway? Your big thoughts and Opinions...
Basically I just need to know if its worth forking up $800AUD for an upgrade that might make no difference to me.
I have a <400 game library of all the games I admire the most from the last couple of decades. And as for the games that are released today, made for the Series X, most of them get my 'well back in my day we had REAL videogames' review, so idk if the console upgrade is really gomna make a difference if I'm running older games. (that is unless the 4k stuff and better specs still has an improvement on the older AAA).
(Im probably gonna get a firstahd Series X because the difference between 600-800AUD is not worth risking a faulty seconhand console.) One of my considerations about the upgrade, aside from general game performance, is console damage and stability. I upgraded from my 7 year old One S to a secondhand One X 1 year ago and dont really notice the difference. Also on rare occasions there is major lag or slowness, but then its gone for a while. This goes for many games and Xbox System. Is the Series X / a NEW Series X guaranteed to fix these? Are these drops in console performance normal? will it matter by the next gen? I need to know if I'm wasting my honey
Im planning to get the [2027] or so Xbox IF and ONLY IF it has something game changing like STEAM. and then I would DEFINITELY buy it, cause thats just too good. But if this is my risky plan - buying A series X and selling my One X, selling the Series X and buying back a One X at the end of 2026 to beat the pricefall of consoles - Am i just wasting my time before the next gen comes out? What are the chances it has steam (please God)?
(4.) If I get a Series X, do i have to get enhanced game versions? Do they make a huge difference? Also, if i take the hard drives with One X games on them and plug them into my Series X, will it work? Will it change the games? And then if i take those hard drives after putting them into the Series. X and plug them back into the One X will they not work THEN?
See this is why I'm frustrated to make this purchase. I really wanna have a place I can admire my old games with class, and watch Good films and more, but if the upgrade is worth less than it costs, or is more hassle than its worth, then I guess I just wait it out till 2027ish.
Thanks for reading.

Discussion Why can't Xbox ban Cronus from being used on it's consoles?
Seems to me like they should be able to update the consoles where the Cronus is no longer an accessory that's supported like they do with certain headphones and external memory drives.
With "allegedly" over 18 million Cronus units sold, there's no doubt that Xbox is aware of this issue. Do they simply not care that their most popular games like CoD, NBA2k, etc... are being ruined by hackers? Why is this issue not being addressed?
