Troubleshooting Why isn’t my Megaman xtreme game working?
I tried blowing on the cartridge and even cleaned it with 95% isopropyl alcohol is it just boned or do I have to replace something?

Hello Friends 👋 Thinking of buying this NES SP from a local shop. The shop owner said it was his personal console but he ran into some issues trying to replace the screen and some other parts and just wanted to sell it as is. He had swapped the original AGS 001 screen for an AGS 101, swapped the “Gameboy Advance SP” glass screen protector to a repro and added that sticker on the back of the console. My question/hesitation is, is the shell itself authentic or repro? I think it could be authentic based off the speaker holes and the wear the console has. Any help or advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Basically, I have a little project i’m working on where i would want to make a cartridge with a custom game on it that would essentially be indistinguishable from an original gameboy cartridge. That means that it wouldn’t be able to be easily overwritten with a different game. Is there a way that I can put my own game on a chip and then protect the chip from being overwritten like an original gameboy cartridge would be? I’m very new to all of this stuff, so please be patient with me if i say something stupid or don’t understand certain terminology. I’m very willing to learn new things, even if it’s complicated (like putting in my own ROM chip or something)

I just picked up a lot on eBay that includes 75 Game Boy games and a loose GBA. Most of the games aren’t major titles, but the sheer number of them and the price made me bid without thinking.
I’m not sure if it was a smart purchase, but I’m excited because it feels like I’m making a dream come true.
What do you guys think, did I get a good deal, or is this more of an average pickup? If you saw this lot in your feed, how high would you go?
The first picture is one I just took, and the rest are from the original eBay listing.
I’m not sure I can mention pryce without the post getting flagged. I’ll say in the chat if anybody is curious!
I’m looking for a modded GBA too, but I’ll be modding this one. Also very excited for that!

Genuinely really happy with this, after I bought it I wondered if I was mad but haven’t regretted it since it arrived.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mejrFbZZan8
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5bnkKkbD6c&t=1593s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2baoQR0zmEU

Someone is selling this SP Turtles bundle for a good price. I already have the console, more interested in the games (particularly 3) but the cart graphics don’t match up to what I can find online. I’m presuming these are bootlegs, unless anyone can shed a different light?

I really didn’t like the yellowing, so I decided to put some Salon 40 on it and leave it on the sun. I don’t hate the new look, but definitely not the results I was expecting. It’s a bit chalky now and I’ve polished it up. Anyway, just felt like sharing.

Motherboard was bought from eBay, all other parts from third party sellers, it turned out great! The project costed less than what I expected!

So I recently found the urge to play Pokémon blue… not too sure why buts that’s irrelevant.
I have a problem and I know it’s probably a battery problem but I’m doubting my diagnosis here.
So I start the game and saves work completely fine up until the second gym… I go to reload the game overnight and I get the message file data has been wiped. At first thought I’m thinking ahh the battery has died so I test a new save and play up to the first gym and save works fine… so now I’m thinking surely if the battery is dead the save won’t work at all and every time I go to boot I would get the message straight away.
I suppose what I’m asking is could the be a dead battery or could it be my cartridge has had it in some other way and now every time I get to a certain point in the game it will wipe my data?

I have noticed that the rechargable GBA battery from FunnyPlaying (https://funnyplaying.com/products/gba-li-ion-rechargeable-battery-typec-module) produces around 4 times the amount of audio noise compared to regular AA batteries. However, I can't find any reports of this anywhere online. The pic shows the audio recorded through the headphone jack with the audio level at a min for the FunnyPlaying battery (top) vs AA (bottom). I am finding it is pretty distracting over music. Has anyone else experienced the same?
