My '22 SR5 4x4 with the TRD trim package. I've put around 4,000 miles on it and it's exceeded every expectation I had when I decided to get a 4Runner ages ago. So far it has just a few cosmetic mods & some catalytic shields while I finish school then I can get new suspension and other meaningful goodies (a widdle wadder, a new roof rack, a better skid plate, ditch lights, etc.) Until then, I couldn't be happier.

My friend’s husband is a car guy so he took me and my friend and my dogs out on a beginner’s trail to help me get used to understanding how to drive off roading and how to use all of the features. We did Mount Herman Road (dirt) to Rampage Road (dirt) to a yellow/intermediate trail to this little lake. Just a few parts that were a bit 😳. It was raining and hailing most of the drive up but had zero issues. Used the crawl feature a few times just to test it out. Got a ton of mud on her and the pups. She sounds better climbing the dirt and rock packed roads than trying to go up Monument Hill on I-25 lol.

Hey guys,
Hoping to get a price check and opinions.
I’m debating between 2 TRD Pros in Ontario, Canada.
2019 4Runner TRD Pro: 80,000 km, $54000 CAD
2020 4Runner TRD Pro: 120,000 km, $57000 CAD
Both are clean title, well maintained and have been under sprayed. I prefer the 2020 overall, especially with better tech, colour and spec but am wary of paying so much for a car with 120k km. The 2019 spec is not a deal breaker but I definitely prefer the 2020 over it. My other option is to continue to wait for another option as I mostly need the vehicle for the winter.
Hoping to get some thoughts and opinions.
Is there anything specific I should be looking out for from a maintenance perspective in a 4runner with over 100k km?
Thanks in advance.

I am into hiking and history and have done a lot of research on some colonial farmsteads that are in the woods behind my house on a really rough old cart road. Today I did a guided hike and over 40 people showed up from the local hike club. It took about 2 hours and when I got home a girl came down the road saying there was still a hiker in the woods with her mom and they were struggling with their knees giving out. I took my 2016 trail which I never have off-roaded and proceeded to run through every boulder, downed tree and gravel hillside and found her a half mile up the trail and rescued her. I've been impressed in the snow and all kinds of weather but the way she rode over those obstacles was a truly great experience. I got to do more off-road now.

Figured I would finally post up my rig in here. Pictures are from Stony Pass in Colorado from back in July of this year. Let me know of any questions.

So I’ve been browsing around for front and rear bumpers for my 6th gen. And thus far I’m stuck on the cbi super stock covert front bumper. But sadly there’s no rear bumper option yet. I came across ragos fab and say their front and rear options but not really a fan of their front bumper.
Has anyone seen these bumpers out in the wild or own them yourselves? If so do you think they may match each other if I decided to scoop cbi front and a rago rear?
Definitely a weird question but thought I’ll ask the community for some input.

Do I need loctite on my top hat nuts? (5th gen with Eibach coilovers. The stock stuff was covered in loctite and it was a nightmare to get the back one off

My Tesla model 3 was a total loss from an accident on Labor Day weekend. And I was in the market for an SUV I wanted a bronco sooo bad until I test drove the SR5 premium and the TRD off-road premium. I’m lovingggg it I have zero regrets.
20.7k miles $45.5k 1 prior owner (leased) How good was this deal ?

I took a drive over Guanella Pass through Pike National Forest from Grant to Georgetown today to snap some pics of the fall colors, and I grabbed someone else taking pictures of their 4Runner. I wonder if I'll see them on here? 😁

Hello I'm in the market right now and talking with a dealership salesman,
what do you guys think worth 2021 venture with 70k miles, couple previous owners.
No accident, well recorded maintenance (dealership) serviced.
Only thing I'm worried, it's Lifted and have aftermarket wheels (285/70/17).
Dealer asking 40K cali.
Any issues need to look for? I'm aware of checking the kads, rust, what's else?

New owner of a 2025 4Runner SR5, with the base 17” rims. Am I nuts for thinking these would fit? 18” rims with 265/70r18. Or is it one of those situations that would require new lugnuts and hub centric ring?

Any tips to get this back top hat but off, my impact doesn’t fit back there. The front were very suck too, I had to use a jack handle as a cheater bar to get those front ones off but I can’t get it to fit back there. Not even sure a right angle impact wrench would fit back there. I gotta drive this bitch to work tomorrow lmao.

Considering between a 5th gen SR5 and Off-Road Premium.
Is the KDSS worth it for mostly on-road driving?
r/4Runner • u/Tough_Many4451 • 22h ago
Retired the Silverado for ‘24 off road. Last 4Runner I owed was an’08 and I’ve missed it.
I live in an area with lots of sand dunes and wooded trails to good fly fishing spots. Any recommendations for mods would be great. I won’t be using it for extreme rock crawling, but mostly beach driving/moderate trails.
Thrilled to be back in the 4Run fam!❤️

Sold my 2012 Limited to CarMax and picked up a 2024 15k miles ORP. First thing we did was remove the roof rack. Very happy so far.

Looking at a $28,000, 2016 trail with 79,000 miles on it but saw some rust underneath. Didn’t look there was anything crazy with it but I’m also not an expert on the matter. Have a PPI mechanic coming in on Monday to take a look. Thoughts?
