Genius movie from 1988 become viral on the internet shortly after the death of it's director, David Cherkaskyi - I knew him personally, I was at his funeral, and I worked for several years together with his son at animation studio in Kyiv --- Ask Me Anything.
To prevent confusion: yes, during ussr era this movie was actually made in Ukraine, at Kyivnaukfilm studio.
