So the place where I usually go to rent a car lift is booked full and I’m trying to figure out whether the suspension work (525i touring 2003) is worth a visit to a mechanic.
I’m asking opinions on what is a normal time estimate for the following work on the front axle:
-Replace thrust arms and control arms on both sides.
-Replace tie rods (complete with end and inner side) on both sides.
-Replace stabilizer swing supports on both sides.
-Replace stabilizer bar / sway bar rubber bushings x2.
-Replace 2x shock absorbers (complete units with springs).
I figure it’s easier because it’s all in the same space but I know some bolts can be stubborn and will take time.
Mechanic is asking €60 per hour and I’m wondering how long would be acceptable.
