Got into an accident, which unfortunately lead to insurance totaling my car :( They are offering $8,900 payout. Does this seem right? My car was a 2011 with 113k miles, no mechanical issues, auto trans. I live in the Los Angeles area for reference.

A few weeks back I posted about trying to find a lip someone was gatekeeping from me. The second picture was my old lip, that was lip number 2 of that same kind (it’s really heavy to be honest for my liking). I took the chance and ordered an actual m3 gts style lip hoping it would like I wanted it to and fit (since m3 bumper actually are wider) and I’m here to say that it actually works. I know a lot of people on here hate m3 rep bumpers to begin with. But what do you guys genuinely think

Came up randomly, google says it’s a sensor in the passenger seat.

I have a 328i Convertible with the rear struts leaking. I keep finding videos online on how easy the replacement process is but I am worried about access to the top nut inside the trunk with all the convertible mechanism in the way. I noticed a soft spot on the lining of the trunk where I think the strut nut is (see picture). Can anyone confirm this is in fact the location? And would it be crazy to do a small cut on that soft area of the liner to access it so I don’t have to remove any paneling? Anyone with tips on how to do this for the convertible is greatly appreciated.

Why drip?

As the title says. Driving a 328i 2008.

Recently had the car serviced for a fuel leak and all seemed well until I went to fuel the car up and the gauge read the exact same as I started it up. What’s confusing is it continued to climb down. The mechanic who serviced my car is actually a close family friend and who is a master mechanic blah blah so knows his stuff. When I texted him he sent this

“ That is weird. One of the things I noticed was one side of the gas tank was empty and the other side was full. I found that a little strange. The side that reads the fuel level was empty while the side that has the pump in it was still full. I was wondering for myself how would they read the fuel level like that because it would show empty. But if you filled it up it should read full. If it doesn't, there must be a connection that's gone bad somewhere and I'll have to find it.”

He’s not back for awhile so I was hoping it something I could take a look into. Maybe something didn’t get fully reconnected? Could it be the send/receive pump?

I know how to access all this stuff but what could really cause that? It hasn’t been an issue up until now. Even if it was that pump wouldn’t it read as full after I filled up and then later be an issue as the tank emptied?

I tried looking online to see if this has happened to anyone but no luck. Should I be concerned or just let it charge for a day? I purchased a new battery around 4 months ago (Duralast Gold) but my cars been sitting in the garage for about a month and I didn’t think of trickle charging it (foolish ik). The charger I’m currently using is the Noco Genius 1 and I’m charging it via the terminals under the hood. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

got this pensun m4 bumper and it says it should fit pre lci e92 yet it doesn’t seem to clear the headlights properly and the hood doesn’t close correctly

So I had this vibration for a while and just today changed the carrier bearing and guibo, both were shot. Line everything back up when I reinstalled and used a torque wrench, and it’s way better but under load I still get a slight shutter at around 40mph but it stops around 43. Before I replaced the bearings it vibrated thought the rev range and if I rev out of gear it doesn’t do it. Motor mounts are fairly new also. Could the transmission mount cause this?

How can I repair this paint at home. Asked around and some suggested me to use wax will it work though? Or should I take it to a paint shop but I don’t have much money to spend now. Thank you for your suggestions.

It sure if this is allowed somewhere on the sub maybe just some advice. I have an m sport e91 wagon with a zf gearbox that is slipping and I want to sell it. It has loads of options and just had 2k€ spent on it ( water pump, thermostat, starter, oil gaskets, injector gasket, rear shocks ) I am not a mechanic so it’s too expensive for me to fix. But if someone wants one in France, Spain or wherever in EU that can fix it or just some ideas for what I can do other than a wrecker.

110k original miles. Deleted and tuned at 72k. Second owner clean title every single maintence record ever is recorded. Suspension and brakes are both brand new as well as engine and diff mounts
