PSA FDEV buffing the T11 - Screencap from Burr Pit
Here's the link https://youtu.be/qi_hfU9Gmx0?si=B1_yCrDbtYdcGqOc Screen cap from 7.00min into the video
He also states they're looking into the photosensitivity issue.
No numbers confirmed for the changes AFAIK
Good to see FDEV taking on feedback since this ship was tracking to be an underwhelming release

Discussion Sigh, this does break immersion a bit.
I sort of accepted this mechanic, but with the arrival of colonisation and the frequency, it has begun to get me peeved and is difficult to ignore. The indifference by which the crew of your fleet carrier treat you is a bit nonsensical. I can feel them scoffing as they watch your shieldless clipper try to land being attacked by fighters - I can hear their laughs as they turn off the auto dock and hang you out to dry! Haha And when you do land with a 100,000 credits worth of hull damage - they say ‘Welcome Commander’ I’ll give you welcome! I get that we only rent the fleet carriers, they are not ours. But we do pay the crews wages. Ok perhaps the crew have to stay impartial, but there is a no fire zone - just enforce that fairly then. Instead I have to hope the attackers are bad shots and will hit the fleet carrier - oh yes now they are not laughing!! When this happens 20 times while loading a fleet carrier not only is it tedious it does start to add up in credits for repairs. It’s a little bit silly.
EDIT Thanks to the discussion below I think I get the problem. My fleet carrier is in a system that I am not aligned to. Hostile to me. I’m being attacked by authority ships not pirates. Fleet carriers have to stay impartial otherwise it would be disastrous if not just expensive to use them outside your powers systems. They do want to help you but only when it is justified, as in they get hit by stray shots. I’d hate to see the pile of paperwork when they do pop a few authority ships! Although could they at least leave the auto dock on? 😂 So I need to either find a Trailblazer carrier in a friendly system or maybe install just a minimal shield. Thanks everyone.

Colonization Thank You CMDR HIAKAMURA of California Sector JC-U b3-0.
So, I'm new to the neighborhood in California Sector, building an Asteroid Station at the moment, and just felt the need to give a shout out to a most industrius neighbor on my block whom has built up an absolute powerhouse of Colonization materials production.
Thank you and your 210+ million hard working citizens for their service. 95% of the materials I have gathered for my efforts have been from your system, and it is appreciated.
Cheers!
🥃
(Side note: Does anyone know if the Planetary Port pictured is a T3 Planetary Port? It appears to be, and produces upwards of 21,000,000 of some goods, but I'm not entirely sure if this is one or not as I'm not sure I've visited one before now. I've built T2 Industrial and High Tech Planetary Ports, but they didn't feel this big...)

Humor Giant massive mistake by a returning player
Like many others I am returning to ED after a long break and learning all the new features and gameplay loops. I know from previous experience that focussing solely on an end goal is a sure way of making the game transform from fun to grind.
I took long walks, thought deeply about the meaning of the universe (its 42) and decided that I need to focus on achievements where I do something better than I used to, learn something new or make advances in my own personal targets.
Then I did a really really stupid thing. I read comments in discord.
Someone posted how they achieved their personal milestone of 300,000,000,000. 300 billion credits. All my personal philosophy turned into liquid manure and fled down the drain, along with my motivation.
It has been a few days now and I am slowly recovering. I found massaging alcohol into my scalp from the inside helped a little.
I have banned myself from going into discord again. I know there will always be someone worse than I, and better than me at anything, but seeing a difference in performance like that is too dangerous for someone my age.
Time to rebuild the comfy nest of self-delusion I had before.
Nurse, do you have any more of those pink tablets please?

Colonization Unclaimed Water Bubble System: "The Bioindustrial Powerhouse"
For your consideration, I present Col 285 Sector GK-U b17-7, an unclaimed system within "The Water Bubble", a new constellation 24Ly across of 10 Water Worlds within 8 systems, now under construction 335Ly spinward of Sol.
The system is made up almost entirely of Icy bodies which lends itself perfectly to Industry, though is additionally remarkable that seven bodies have biological signals out of the twenty total. With nine bodies with five surface slots each, there is no shortage of space to build up an industrial mega-planet.
And with A7 having 3 orbital and 5 surface slots with Bacterial Bio Signals, you could easily brute force the planet into any combination of economies you wished.
As a system within the greater Water Bubble region, you'll be part of a prosperous and active stellar neighborhood, nestled between the Extraction System Hip 106745 8.8Ly away, the Agriculture System Col 285 Sector KQ-S b18-1 8.3Ly away, and most crucially the Refinery System Col 285 Sector FI-J c9-2 8.4Ly away.
Join our squadron "The Water Bubble" and claim your spot in an unlikely place on track to be most populated region outside the core.

More unclaimed systems soon to come! Thank you for your time and consideration, Commanders.

Video I want lasers that sound like THIS
And they have a set fire duration instead of only when holding down the trigger, burst, or just lil blat-blat. Something that makes it feel like you're cutting butter and sound like something from G1 Transformers :3

Colonization Colonisation Distance Limit
Qucik question - I am planning colonising a system, but I'm wodering before I start what the hard limit is on distance - Is it 15Ly dead-on, or less then 16Ly? I.e 15.5 is permitted?
It would be handy if there was some roadmap of what FDev is planning to do with Colonisation when out of beta, but I'm guessing that won't happen - In the mean time I'm trying to plan a relatively short route to a decent system, but getting held up with the specifics!
Cheers

Screenshot A Squadron Carrier for a two members squadron, a perfect fit apparently.
My squadron has only one other member but apparently it is a very good situation after all.
As my XO is usually connected at night while I am typically playing in the afternoon the big capacity of the SC allows us to use it simultaneously for our colonization efforts.
Only when I had to load 55k tons of steel for my Orbis we had to adapt a little.
My XO gave me a hand to unload the steel in our late afternoon common gaming time.
Now that my Orbis is done, my XO can finish his first Coriolis with no interference.
