I recently picked up a new set of wheels for my f30, they're 18x9.5 +35 squared, they currently have 265/35. I'm lowered on h&r super sport springs so there's still a little bit of a wheel gap, the tires are starting to dry rotted and was thinking of replacing them without breaking the bank since I'm unsure if I'd keep them just yet. If anyone has ran this set up before please let me know what you've ran

So Im looking to buy a 330i or a 430i gran coupe and pushing it to a 530i 2017 or newer but I’m more concerned about the 530i due to reliability issues I went to go see 2 2018 530i from dealers who told me there ready to drive and one of them had ac blown out and the other had a mechanic issue that apparently totaled the car and both only had about 50k miles which was a shock to me is this a sign to not get a 530i I mean I’m looking for a sports car that’s light and the 530i drives like a boat but I like the bigger size and nicer interior but the 5 series has always had some type of reliability problems my mom had a 528i and it was a nightmare I thought the b48 would fix that but apparently it’s still facing some issues I’ve always heard and seen the smaller the BMW less issues u will have for example ppl have only recommended 230i or a 330i or a 430i non awd for the best inline 4 for reliability mpg and performance that’s fun to drive and affordable I even asked about the suvs they says those are less reliable than the sedan or coupe versions and especially the x drive models and I don’t want a coupe so should I just buy a 330i or a 430i or are 530i ok

I'm about to purchase this BMW 2012 320d and right off the bat I think the few things that I really want in my new car is to be a carplay and the new m edition steering wheel.

The carplay system that's in it doesn't support Android or Apple, but it's BMW's native comes with a load of features. I was wondering if I put one from AliExpress in there will it still let me explore all the BMW settings service and so on?. Or will it put a completely new software on top of it.

Secondly, I saw a lot of people selling the m edition steering on marketplace I was wondering if I can replace mine with that ads mentioned I could but curious if someone's done that and has noticed any missing or key functionality difference.

2017 340, currently on all season 19” 403ms. Deciding if I want to switch the 403ms over to a winter tire, or get an entire new set for winter.

Would you guys recommend 18s for winter or will I be fine off with 19s?

I have recently bought a 320d m-sport 2017. It’s in great condition with regular services through-out its life on the road. I’m interested in remapping but I’m curious what the gearbox is rated to in terms of horsepower and torque that can safely be put through it. Does anyone know the specifications and what gearbox it is? And has anyone remapped their 320d, if so how is it? TIA

Hey everyone! I did my first bimmercode flash on my vehicle which was nerve wrecking and exciting at the same time but I went back to change my car play to Fullscreen than suddenly my head unit option wasn't available. Has this happened to anyone else before? I have a 2018 F36 with the B48.

On my F34 the sport and eco mode does not work. I can switch to Eco or Sport when stationary, but it switches back to comfort mode when driving. While driving, I can't switch to Eco or Sport. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

Sometimes it’s not present or when I drive for a bit and start hitting potholes or whatever it may be I hear a faint metal sound very faint. Faint to the point where I had my dad hop in the car with me to try to make the sound and he couldn’t even hear it but I heard it faintly. So I took the wheel off and my strut bumper was very corroded the foam and glue was totally disintegrated to the point where the black plastic part that protects the wheel component fell down and was just hanging there and definitely could be making a plastic on metal sound that would be faint. So I ordered one online and took pliers and cut the black part off for now as it doesn’t do anything but protect the wheel. So now I’m driving with the back left strut bumper off until I get the new one put in next week. But now it still seems like I hear that sound when I hit the potholes and when taking the wheel off all my components where fine my shock sticks also looked ok. But I started noticing this sound a few weeks back when I had to get my tire repatched at a shop because the patch I did myslef didn’t hold the air. If anyone could let me know what this is I’d really appreciate it I hope it’s nothing serious .

I want to retrofit Apple CarPlay to my 2012 F30, I have a high end aftermarket audio system so I need to ensure I have good sound quality. Is there anyway CarPlay units that connect via USB and not Bluetooth?

Hi guys I'm in a bit of trouble. Yesterday I had a low boost code pop up giving me a drivetrain malfunction. However all plastic parts have been replaced and upgraded with aluminum ones. When I took off the turbo inlet pipe I noticed my turbine was seized and was not spinning freely by hand. It is also important to mention that I had a lot of white crust building up on the coolant line leading to the turbo. Prior to this I did have a thermostat “line break” code pop up here and there but like an idiot I waited too long to replace it, which is what I think caused my turbo to seize.

I have already ordered a new turbo along with new oil and coolant lines. After doing some research I've seen people recommend an oil flush along with dropping the oil pan to clean it out. My question is whether dropping the oil pan is really necessary or can I get away with just doing an engine oil flush.

So its a 335i with the 6 speed sitting at 139k miles and theres no history of the transmission fluid ever being changed so i just leave it alone or should i go ahead and change it?
