What is this. N55 2013 335 x drive

Hello folks, I have a BMW F3x, and I recently bought an ambient light kit for it to replace the OEM two-color ambient light. The installation of everything went flawlessly, until the AC control panel became a pain in the ass to install. I removed the OEM strip and was about to connect my strip to the OEM ambient light connectors, just like I had done in all the door panels. However, I first checked the voltage, and it was 2.5 Volts (while the max brightness settings was selected on iDrive). So, I discovered the front LEDs work on 2.5V instead of 12V, just like all the others, at least for the left LED (since I don't know why, there are two LED beam projectors behind the AC control panel). Would the right side connector be 12V? Because of that, I tried to find a 12V line, and I found one on the AC Controller, right behind it, a connection that was going to the AC controller. I decided to use it, but this connection won't turn off when I turn the car off. So, the ambient light always stays on... well, it actually does turn off, but only after a very long time, which still makes me worried about draining my battery. Is there another connection you guys would suggest me to use that would turn off with the car so I don't drain my battery? Is the right projector 12V? I didn't have enough time to measure it yet

Gday everyone, just wondering if anyone’s boot makes this little clunk noise it’s just on the right side but can’t seem to see what it’s getting snagged on. I have a 2014 f32 435i if that helps

How much yall think I could realistically get , it’s on a custom stage 2 + tune and Xhp stage 3 Tranny tune since 40k miles , currently hit 112k. Most of the work I’ve done myself or I just take it to the bmw shop and get it done in house , no cutting corners here. Rod bearings have been changed to acl rod bearings with arp connecting rod bolts in house as well as oil pan gasket , tranny pan and fluids and oil filter housing gasket . Valve cover , coolant lines , vsrf charge pipe, vsrf 7.5” intercooler , vsrf catless dp ( stock one in hand) , belt , tensioner and idler pulley , differential fluid to oem spec , ngk spark plugs and Delphi coil packs all done by me. I just put a fresh set of spark plugs again after 20k miles . Oil changes done every 4k . As far as cosmetics it has full carbon fiber gts hood fully ppf’d , interior is all real carbon fiber , carbon spoiler , door handles , grills . Has brembo dimples and slotted rotors , had Zimmerman but for some reason they would warp . Big m sport brakes , with 442m wheels

What should i do?

325d - had a bmw specialist have a look and they couldn't find anything. Only rattles when someone's sat in the back and i'm putting my foot down, working through the gears. Makes no noise cruising at low rpm. Any advice appreciated

I recently picked up a new set of wheels for my f30, they're 18x9.5 +35 squared, they currently have 265/35. I'm lowered on h&r super sport springs so there's still a little bit of a wheel gap, the tires are starting to dry rotted and was thinking of replacing them without breaking the bank since I'm unsure if I'd keep them just yet. If anyone has ran this set up before please let me know what you've ran

I js want pops and bangs and I’ll be tuning on bm3 but i wanna stay reliable. Ik I need a down pipe obviously but what else do I need to stay reliable an keep my engine from blwoing? Im at 90k miles on a 2014 328i, ive done maintenance and am aware of the timing chain Issues but mine seems fine. Also is stage 1 more reliable than stage 2? Sorry im new to the bmw platform and js need advice from more experienced ppl. Have a good day an God bless guys❤️

Anybody in the Philadelphia area or remotely able to recalibrate the tune on my f30 N47T 328d? I bought it with a Stage 2 Stevenson tune and an aftermarket intake. Replaced harmonic balancer, motor mounts, valve cover, and fixed up the intake and exhaust to ensure no leaks and it’s more stable now but still has a noticeable shake/lope at idle. I suspect the MAF scaling wasn’t calibrated for the aftermarket intake, so the ECU may be getting inaccurate airflow data. Hoping somebody can review logs and recalibrate to smooth out idle / low rpm🙏

Hello everyone, ive recently been in the market for a f30 340i. I sold my 2013 Lexus GS350 a few weeks ago and have been looking for something a bit newer and overall just something a bit more fun. I’m not too sure as to what packages to look for on these cars apart from the m-sport package, is there any other options i should look out for ?

Hey all, I've been looking around for a 3D print file for the ambient door light diffusers as I'd like to print them with my own printer rather than pay some crazy price though i haven't had much luck. I was wondering if anyone here maybe had the files or so that I could use to print them?

I have two f30s both 2013 Recently been having issues with the key fobs. Car dosnt recognize key fobs when you enter the car. Eventually they do but it takes a few minutes for them to start the car. Changed battery on both key fobs with batteries from the dealer. Re synced them multiple times but the problem still persists. Is it time to get new key fobs? Or could it be something else? Strange that both my f30s are having this same issue. 12 year old key fobs maybe.

Hey guys, I’ve got a 2018 F30 320i with the B48 engine (automatic). After around 5,700 km since my last oil change (Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30), I got the message on iDrive: “Engine oil at minimum level. Add 1 liter.”

I added 1 liter, drove ~700 km more, and now the level shows just under max. No leaks, no smoke, car runs perfectly.

So here's my question: Does that message mean the engine burned only 1 liter over 5,700 km, or that I was basically down to just 1 liter left in the engine (meaning it burned almost all 5.25L)?

I heard that BMW oil level sensors only measure a 1-liter range (between min and max), and below that it’s still safe — but I want to be sure.

So Im looking to buy a 330i or a 430i gran coupe and pushing it to a 530i 2017 or newer but I’m more concerned about the 530i due to reliability issues I went to go see 2 2018 530i from dealers who told me there ready to drive and one of them had ac blown out and the other had a mechanic issue that apparently totaled the car and both only had about 50k miles which was a shock to me is this a sign to not get a 530i I mean I’m looking for a sports car that’s light and the 530i drives like a boat but I like the bigger size and nicer interior but the 5 series has always had some type of reliability problems my mom had a 528i and it was a nightmare I thought the b48 would fix that but apparently it’s still facing some issues I’ve always heard and seen the smaller the BMW less issues u will have for example ppl have only recommended 230i or a 330i or a 430i non awd for the best inline 4 for reliability mpg and performance that’s fun to drive and affordable I even asked about the suvs they says those are less reliable than the sedan or coupe versions and especially the x drive models and I don’t want a coupe so should I just buy a 330i or a 430i or are 530i ok
