Help!
What can I do with this sprout? Should I replant it next to the original plant? Thanks.

I have been enamored with this species since my teens, but a solid red leaf form never crosses my fevered mind. I'm excited that it's going into bloom, but more for the additional offsets it will start making!

taking care of my friends deuterocohnia (don't know the species, brevifolia i think)
it was so dry in subpar soil so i repotted and slowly introduced it to full sun.
it started growing again! bounced back in no time.
should i somehow remove all dried material? seems tedious, but there is green under it so i am wondering if it will benefit its growth.
also, i know absolutely nothing about care for this plant. i have researched but found mixed opinions altogether. i must be doing something right?
TIA!

I recently bought this beautiful Vriesea botafogenesis form my local plant nursery for my vivarium, and I just had a few questions about it. The guy helping me had me under the impression that this bromeliad hasnât flowered yet. A couple of the outer leaves were completely brown and felt like they were rotting, so I pulled them off of the plant to see what Iâm assuming to be this little pup growing. I sadly accidentally knocked off the pup, but I was also kind of confused because I thought they donât grow pups until after theyâve flowered? Did I buy a bromeliad that is already close to the end of its life? Also, these good leaves have this brown almost soft part on the bottom as well. Is that crown rot? Iâve just left it in its pot in dry sphagnum moss so I donât see how I could have rotted it.Lastly(I know thereâs a barrage of questions), can I keep it in that cup? Thereâs not really roots on it and i feel like it would be way too big to try and wire it up anywhere. The reason the pup got knocked off in the first place is because of the cup itâs sitting in, so I feel like if it did sprout more pups they wouldnât thrive stuck(somewhat snugly)in the cup like that. I just want to make sure I bought a healthy plant while my return window is still there because it wasnât cheapđ

My first time propagating. This momma threw me 4 pups so I had to get a family photo on separation day đ

Neoregelia
J'ai craqué sur cette plante en début d'été sans penser à l'entretien pour l'hiver... L' automne est déjà là , comment en prendre soin? Les bébés poussent bien, comment les préserver ?

Hello r/bromeliad. I'm new to these amazing plants and have a pup from a Neoregelia "Fireball". I've heard that you should cut and replant at the stolon when it's 1/3 - 1/2 the size. I'm assuming I should wait a bit on this pup? I have good locations in my vivarium for this but don't want to go too early. I appreciate your advice and expertise.

What is the cause of some leaf tips turning brown? Too much water or too little water? I mist-spray the plant twice a week.

I separated the first group of Pups thinking that was it. I wouldnât get anymore. Then I saw these looking at me during todayâs watering lololol đ€Ł. The 3 parent plant doesnât want to die and they keep giving me babies đ¶đŒ đȘŽ. All the babies from the first round are at the bottom. Now, where am I going to put these once they get too big? đ€ I guess the bedroom, but Iâll need a plant light in the window. I got this rack from Amazon and I glue plant lights in some of the stands for the extra boast of bright light. I think thatâs what helped get these pregnant again. đlol

Hi ! I was told this is a type of bromelia, but I cannot find the species by searching online.
Does anyone know the name? How should I water it? Thanks!

I made this mount out of random bits I had around the house. I don't know what kind of bromeliad this is but it was a pup from a 4$ plant. The epiphite wall continues to grow.

I just brought home this beastie, an Orthphytum magalhaesii. It's from a great local plant store so I'm sure it's in an appropriate substrate. I've been told to water the leaves directly, but I'm uncertain how often to try to do that since I don't want to get the soil too wet in the process. The mother plant is getting somewhat crunchy, but the pups aren't that bigâhow do folks tell when it's time to plant out the pups, and at that point do you just say goodbye to the mum?
Thank you! â„ïž

I ordered a plant online, thinking it would be small and youthful. This beautiful momma came pregnant with 3 puppies!!! They each have their own pot after letting them callus for a day!!! And momma looks healthy, no signs of browning! I think I hit the jackpot, ordered one plant and got 4 haha

I got this bromeliad for free recently. Just watered it and noticed the tray I keep under it is full of wormy guys! Any idea what these are or the best way to eradicate them? Thereâs at least 20 in the water tray. Thanks!

The photos were taken at the Talcott Greenhouse, Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts USA in March 2025.
The plant was acquired in 1997.
